문화원형론, 지역문화콘텐츠론, 그리고 얼과 사람됨: 개념들의 관계에 대한 이론적 설명을 중심으로

국문 초록

문화콘텐츠학에서 문화원형과 지역문화콘텐츠는 개념적으로 밀접하게 연결되어 있다. 문화원형에 대한 담론은 전통문화 및 역사문화콘텐츠와 흔히 연결되고, 특정 지역문화콘텐츠의 본디 모습이라는 면과 연결된다. 하지만 지역문화원형과 글로벌문화원형이 구분될 수 있으므로 문화원형 개념을 이처럼 간단하게 생각해서는 안 된다는 견해도 있다. 원래부터 문화원형은 전통이나 역사에만 국한되지 않으며 인간의 심리와 연결되어 있었다. 그런데 지역문화콘텐츠 개념 역시 사실은 이 맥락과 불가분의 관계에 있다. 어떤 특정 지역의 사람들 심리와 자생적 문화가 특정 지역의 문화코드나 토양이되어 결국 지역문화콘텐츠로 발전되는 경우가 많기 때문이다. 본 고는 이러한 견지에서 문화원형론과 지역문화콘텐츠론의 학문적 위치와 개념에 대해 전반적으로 살펴보았다. 문화원형과 지역문화콘텐츠 개념에 대해 일상의 긍정적 관점이아닌, 회의, 의심, 반성적 사고방식 등을 바탕으로 하여, 문화자원, 원천소스, archetype, original form, 지역문화콘텐츠등의 개념들이 서로 복잡하게 얽혀 있는 관계라는 점을 밝혀 보고자 했다. 또한 지역문화콘텐츠가 전통(tradition)과 얼(spirit)이라는 개념과 직결되므로 어떻게 인간의 역사와 심리를 반영하고 있는지에 대해서도 검토해 보았다. 결론적으로 문화콘텐츠학에서도 ‘사람됨’이라는 개념을 생각하는 것이 중요하다는 견해를 도출하였다.

영문 초록

In cultural content studies, cultural archetypes and local cultural contents are conceptually and closely connected. Discussions on the cultural archetypes are often connected with traditional culture or historical cultural contents, and are connected with the aspect of the original appearance in a specific local cultural contents. However, there is also an opinion that the concept of cultural archetypes should not be considered as simple as this, because the local cultural archetypes and the global cultural archetypes are distinguished. Originally, the cultural archetypes are not limited to tradition or history, but is more deeply connected to human psychology. But the concept of local cultural contents is actually inextricably related to this context. This is because the psychology of people in a specific region and self-sustaining culture often become the culture code or soil of a specific region and eventually formed as local cultural contents. From the perspective, this paper examined the academic position and concept of the cultural archetypes discussion and the local cultural contents theory. Based on the concept of the cultural archetypes and the concept of local cultural contents, not from the positive view of everyday life, the concept of the cultural archetypes and the concept of local cultural contents was intended to clarify that the concepts such as cultural resources, primary sources, archetypes, original forms, and local cultural contents are intricately intertwined with each other. It also examined how local cultural contents are directly connected to the concepts of tradition and spirit, and how they reflect human history and psychology. In conclusion, I drew a view that it is important to think about the concept of ‘personality’ in cultural content studies.
