초등 4~6학년 대상 노벨엔지니어링 활용 인공지능융합교육 프로그램 개발

국문 초록

2022 개정 교육과정에서는 미래 사회의 불확실성에 대응하기 위해 디지털 소양 능력의 함양을 강조하며 그로 인해 정보교육 시수의 증대와 인공지능 기초학습을 강조하였다. 그중 초등학교에서의 인공지능 교육의 목표는 인공지능의 기능과 원리를 놀이와 체험을 바탕으로 이해하고 인공지능 기술 사례를 탐색하고 활용하는 데 있다. 목표에 도달하기 위해 초등 인공지능 교육에서는 초등학생의 발달 단계에 적합한 언플러그드 활동과 스토리텔링을 활용하도록 제안한다. 그러나 초등학교 현장에서는 교사들이 인공지능 교육에 대한 어려움을 느끼고 있고 초등학교 인공지능 교육 목표에 적합한 교수·학습 자료도 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 스토리텔링에 기반한 모델인 노벨엔지니어링(Novel Engineering)을 활용해 인공지능융합교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램은 소프트웨어교육을 교육과정 안에서 수료하여 컴퓨터 활용이 익숙한 초등 5~6학년과 컴퓨터 활용 교육이 가능한 4학년 학생을 대상으로 하였다. 노벨엔지니어링을 활용한 인공지능융합교육 총 10차시의 교육내용과 교수·학습 자료를 제안하였다. 이 연구가 현장에서 정보교육을 담당해야 하는 초등학교 교사들이 2022 개정 교육과정의 인공지능융합교육 목표와 방향, 내용, 교수·학습 방법을 이해하는 데 도움이 되길 바라며 초등학교 4~6학년의 발달 단계에 맞는 인공지능융합교육 프로그램으로 현장에서 적용되길 바란다.

영문 초록

In the revised curriculum of 2022, there is an emphasis on cultivating digital literacy skills to address the uncertainty of future society. This has led to an increase in the instructional hours for information education and a focus on foundational learning in artificial intelligence. The goal of elementary school artificial intelligence(AI) education is to foster an understanding of the functions and principles of AI through play and hands-on experiences, as well as to explore and apply examples of artificial intelligence technology. To achieve this goal, it is proposed to utilize unplugged activities and storytelling suitable for the developmental stages of elementary students in elementary AI education. In the field of elementary schools, teachers are experiencing difficulties in AI education, and there is a shortage of teaching and learning materials suitable for the goals of elementary AI education. Therefore, this study developed an AI convergence education program using Novel Engineering, a model based on storytelling. The program was designed for elementary students, particularly targeting 5th and 6th graders who are familiar with computer use according to the curriculum and 4th graders capable of computer-assisted education. The AI convergence education using Novel Engineering consists of a total of 10 sessions, with proposed content and teaching materials. It is hoped that this research will assist elementary school teachers responsible for information education in understanding the goals, directions, content, and teaching methods of AI convergence education in the revised 2022 curriculum. The aim is for the AI convergence education program to be applied in the field as suitable for the developmental stages of elementary school students in grades 4-6.
