국문 초록

소래산(蘇來山)은 조선시대 인천도호부(仁川都護府)의 진산(鎭山)이다. 이러한 위상 으로 인해 주목할 만한 가치가 충분하지만 소래산에 집중한 연구는 부재한 실정이다. 이 글 에서는 조선시대 소래산 관련 문헌기록을 바탕으로 역사적 유래와 지역적 의미를 살펴보고 자 하였다. 오늘날 소래산의 유래로 중국 당나라 소정방(蘇定方)과 관련한 설이 전하지만 사실 여부를 확언하기 어렵다. 대신 지역의 문화사에 중요한 공간으로 기능했고, 조선시대 전 시기에 걸쳐 사대부의 선영과 별서가 경영되었다. 이는 소래산이 지닌 위상과 더불어 도 성과 멀지 않은 곳에 자리한 특징에서 비롯된 결과이다. 한편 소래산은 평지에 우뚝 솟아나 당대 문인들의 주목을 받았다. 서해 지역 방어에서 요충지로 기능했고, 도성 일대 경관으로 지목한 모습이 확인되며, 산맥의 흐름에서 인천을 대표하는 산으로 거론되었다. 소래산과 인연을 두고 지은 한시에는 이곳을 향유하고 경유한 당대 문인들의 시각이 드러난다.

영문 초록

Soraesan Mountain(蘇來山) is the Jinsan(鎭山) of Incheon Dohobu(仁川 都護府) during the Joseon Dynasty. Due to this status, it has sufficient remarkable value, but no research focuses on Soraesan Mountain. In this article, the historical origin and regional meaning were examined based on the literature records related to Soraesan Mountain in the Joseon Dynasty. Regarding its origin, a theory associated with Sojeongbang(蘇定方) in the Tang Dynasty in China is passed down, but it is difficult to confirm whether it is true. Instead, it functioned as an essential space in the region's cultural history, and tombs and villas of the noble family of the four godfathers were located throughout the entire Joseon Dynasty. This results from the characteristic that Soraesan Mountain has a significant phase and is not far from the capital city. Meanwhile, Soraesan Mountain rose high on the flatland and attracted the attention of writers of the Joseon Dynasty. It functioned as a key point in the defense of the West Sea region, was mentioned as a significant landscape of Incheon from Seoul, and was mentioned as a representative mountain of Incheon in the flow of mountain ranges. A poem written while passing or looking at Soraesan Mountain reveals the perspective of Joseon Dynasty writers who enjoyed the place.
