군 병사의 부대 적응 척도 타당화 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 군 병사들의 부대 적응과 관련된 정책이 시행되고 이에 대한 관심이 높은 상황에서 부대 적응의 정도를 정확하게 측정하기 위한 목적으로 시행되었다. 이를 위해 그 동안 많은 연구에서 사용된 Stouffer 등(1949)이 개발하고 이윤희(1963)가 번역한 후 신태수(1981)가 한국 군에 맞게 수정한 부대 적응 척도의 적합성을 검증하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과 기존 26개 문항에서 10개 문항이 제거되었으며, 이를 바탕으로 신뢰도 분석을 한 결과 수정된 16개 문항을 모두 사용하였을 때 신뢰도 값이 가장 높게 나타났다. 다음으로 이 문항들에 대한 확인적 요인분석을 하여 수정된 한국 군 병사의 부대 적응 척도를 제시하였다. 연구결과 척도는 기존의 척도와 같이 4개의 하위요인으로 구성되었다. 심신상태와 임무수행 의지, 직책과 직무만족 세 항목은 기존 척도와 동일하였으나, 기존의 마지막 요인인 군 조직 환경에 대한 태도의 경우 타당도 분석을 통해 삭제된 문항을 제외하고 문항들을 검토한 결과 조직 환경에 대한 전반적인 태도보다는 군 간부에 대한 인식이 하나의 요인으로 구성되는 것이 타당함을 확인하였다. 이 연구는 부대 적응과 관련된 척도의 검증이 부족한 상황에서 군 병사를 대상으로 경험적으로 부대 적응 척도를 검증했다는 점에서 의의가 있으며, 부적절한 문항들을 삭제하고 현재의 군 상황에 맞는 척도를 수정 제시했다는 점에서 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to accurately measure the extent of unit adjustment in a context where policies related to unit adjustment of military personnel are being implemented and interest in unit adjustment is high. To this end, the suitability of the unit adjustment scale developed by Stouffer et al. (1949), translated by Lee Yoon-hee (1963), and modified by Shin Tae-soo (1981) for the Korean military was verified. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, 10 items were removed from the original 26 items, and based on the reliability analysis, the reliability value was highest when all 16 modified items were used. Next, a confirmatory factor analysis was conducted on these items to present the revised Korean Army Soldiers' Unit Adjustment Scale. The scale was composed of four subfactors as in the original scale. Three of the items, mental and physical condition, willingness to perform duties, and job position and job satisfaction, were the same as the original scale, but for the last factor, attitude toward the military organizational environment, the items were reviewed with the exception of the items that were deleted through the validity analysis, and it was found that it was appropriate to have one factor consisting of perceptions of military officers rather than overall attitudes toward the organizational environment. This study is significant in that it empirically validated the unit adaptation scale with military soldiers in a situation where validation of scales related to unit adaptation is lacking, and it is significant in that it deleted inappropriate items and revised the scale to fit the current military situation.
