비형식적 통계적 추리 교수·학습에서의 행위자-네트워크 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 수학 교수·학습에서 테크놀로지의 존재론적 위치에 대한 문제의식에서 출발하여, 행위자-네트워크 이론의 관점으로 교수·학습을 하나의 네트워크로 바라보고, 인간 행위자와 비인간 행위자의 결합으로부터 창발되는 행위성에 주목하였다. 초등학교 5학년 학생들을 대상으로 분포와 표본 개념에 기반한 자료집합 비교하기 과제를 수행한 결과, 식별된 중심 행위자는 교사 및 학생, 그래프, 다이어그램, TinkerPlots 등의 테크놀로지, 분포와 표본 개념이며 이러한 행위자들이 번역을 통해 네트워크를 구성하는 방식을 확인할 수 있었다. 막대그래프(값)는 막대의 길이나 색으로, 점그래프는 다양한 다이어그램을 그릴 수 있는 환경으로, TinkerPlots는 여러 기능을 활용하게 하여 학생들의 관심을 끌었다. 비인간 행위자들에 의해 학생들은 하나의 자료값에만 주목했던것에서 분포의 여러 측면을 모두 고려할 수 있도록 변화되었으며, 분포 개념이미지를 형성하고, 대푯값과 분포 개념을 이해하고 활용하게 되었다. 이는 수학 교수·학습 네트워크를 구성하는 여러 행위자들에 수학 개념이 확장되고 분산되어 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study started from a critical awareness of the ontological position of technology in mathematics teaching and learning. Based on the perspective of Actor-Network Theory(ANT), we consider teaching and learning as a network and focus on the agency that emerges from the combination of human actors and non-human actors. The results of research with comparing data sets tasks based on the concepts of distribution and sample with elementary school students in grades 5 showed that the key actors were teachers and students, technology such as graphs, diagrams, TinkerPlots, and the concepts of distribution and sample. Through the translation of these actors, it was possible to confirm how the network is constructed. Bar graphs interessement students through the length or color of the bars, dot plots interessement through an environment for drawing various diagrams, and TinkerPlots interessement through utilizing different functions. Non-human actors have changed students from focusing only on a single data to considering various aspects of distribution. In addition, students form a concept image of distribution and make a inference using representative values and distribution. This means that mathematical concepts are expanded and distributed among various actors in the mathematics teaching and learning network.
