국문 초록

코로나-19를 기점으로 대학 입학전형별 교육 성과를 점검하기 위해 본 연구에서는 코로나-19 전후 입학생을 대상으로 학업 성적 변화 추이와 영향요인을 비교 분석하였다. 분석 자료는 K대학교에 재학중인 2018년 입학생 1,074명과 2020년 입학생 1,136명의 배경 정보, GPA, 역량, 비교과마일리지 점수이다. 코로나-19 전후 입학생 비교를 위한 다집단 잠재성장모형 분석을 실시한 결과 첫째, 두 집단에서 모두 재학 기간이 경과함에 따라 학업 성적이 향상되었다. 그러나 학업 성적의 초기치와 변화율 모두 2018학년도 입학생보다 2020학년도 입학생이 높았다. 이러한 결과는 코로나-19 전후 성적 평가 방법의 변화로 인한 학점 인플레이션 현상을 실증적으로 보여주는 것으로 해석되었다. 둘째, 2018학년도 입학생의 경우 정시전형 입학생이 수시전형 입학생보다 초기 학업 성적이 높았으나, 2020학년도 입학생은 전형유형별 차이를 보이지 않았다. 또한 2020학년도 입학생만 역량과 비교과 마일리지 점수가 초기 학업 성적에 긍정적인 효과를 보였다. 마지막으로 본 연구 결과의 요약 및 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the educational outcomes of college students by admission types, with a focus on the impact of COVID-19. For this purpose, we conducted a comparative analysis of academic progress and influencing factors among students admitted before and after the onset of the pandemic. Data from 1,074 students enrolled in 2018 and 1,136 students enrolled in 2020 were used. The results of a multi-group latent growth model analysis are as follows. First, irrespective of the admission year, students from both the 2018 and 2020 panels exhibited improvements in grades over the span of three semesters. Nonetheless, the 2020 group displayed a higher initial value and slope of academic progress compared to the 2018 panel. Second, among students admitted in 2018, those under regular-admission exhibited higher initial GPA compared to their early-admission counterparts. However, no such distinction by admission type was observed among students admitted in 2020. Furthermore, solely the 2020 panel demonstrated a positive impact of competency and extracurricular mileage on their initial GPAs. Finally, we provide a summary and discuss the implications of the study results.
