국문 초록

연구목적 : 본 연구는 성인 발달장애인의 평생교육 참여에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구방법 : 한국보건사회연구원에서 실시한 2020년 장애인실태 원자료를 사용하여 성인 발달장애 500명을 대상으로 평생교육 영향 요인을 인구사회학적 요인, 건강 요인, 심리 요인, 사회활동 요인으로 나누어 참여요인의 특성을 분석한 후, 이분형 변수인 평생교육 참여를 종속변수로, 평생교육에 영향을 미치는 요인을 독립변수로 하여 로지스틱 회귀분석하여 영향요인을 분석하였다. 결론 : 성인 발달장애인의 평생교육에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 건강 요인에서는 주관적 건강상태가 높을수록, 일상생활에서는 타인의 도움 필요 정도가 낮을수록 평생교육 참여가 높았다. 둘째, 사회활동 요인에서는 평생교육 참여 경험과 여가 활동 경험, 복지관 이용 경험이 평생교육 참여를 높이는 요인이었다. 따라서 성인 발달장애인의 평생교육 참여를 증진시키기 위해서는 건강 관련 프로그램 개발과 일상생활에서 발달장애인들의 주도적인 삶을 위한 실제적인 방법제공, 교육이 아닌 여가 활동으로 평생교육 참여하기, 복지관 이외의 다양한 평생교육 기관 확장 및 평생교육 참여 기회를 높일 수 있는 다양한 방안 마련 등이 성인 발달장애인의 평생교육 참여를 높일 수 있는 실천적 정책적 방안이 될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study utilized the raw data from the 2020 Disability Status Survey conducted by the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs to analyze the factors affecting the participation of adults with developmental disabilities in lifelong education. Methods: These factors were categorized into demographic, health, psychological, and social activity aspects. A logistic regression analysis was conducted with lifelong education participation as a dependent variable and the influencing factors as independent variables. Results: The findings are as follows. First, in the health aspect, higher subjective health status and lower need for assistance in daily life were associated with increased participation in lifelong education. Second, in the social activity aspect, previous experience in lifelong education, leisure activities, and use of welfare centers were found to enhance participation. Third, psychological factors did not significantly influence the participation of adults with developmental disabilities in lifelong education. Conclusions: Based on these results this study proposes practical and policy measures to enhance lifelong education participation among adults with developmental disabilities. These include developing health-related programs, promoting autonomous living in daily life, encouraging participation in leisure activities rather than formal education, expanding lifelong education institutions beyond welfare centers, and creating more opportunities for participation in lifelong education.
