국문 초록

이 글은 대전 비래동 고인돌유적을 중심으로 그에 인접한 금강 상류지역 초기 고인돌의 구조와 독특한 부장성을 함께 살핌으로써, 그러한 성격의 고인돌이 축조되는 배경과 지역성의 문제를 아울러 검토한 것이다. 주지하다시피, 금강 상류지역은 가락동유형의 주요 분포권으로 남한지역 청동기시대 전기 무렵의 고인돌이 비교적 많이 알려져 있다. 이 지역의 초기 고인돌에서는 이단병식검과 삼각만입촉·이단경촉 및 적색마연호의 부상성이 주목되는데 이들은 대부분 개석식 고인돌이거나 그와 유사한 구조의 매장주체부를 가진 특이점을 보인다. 이러한 사실은 해당지역에 고인돌문화가 수용될 당시 그것을 주도한 이들의 의도가 강하게 작용되었음을 암시한다. 본고는 바로 이러한 점에 유의하면서, 대전 비래동유적을 중심으로 그 주변지역 개석식 고인돌의 축조 배경 및 그 부장 전통이 성립되는 과정을 점검해 보았다.

영문 초록

This article delves into the Birae-dong dolmen site in Daejeon, focusing on its structure and the unique grave goods. It particularly examines early dolmens in the adjacent upper Geumgang River region in order to examine the background of the construction of dolmens of this nature and the issue of regionality. The upper Geumgang River region is a key area for the distribution of Garak-dong type dolmens, notable for a significant number of Early Bronze Age dolmens in South Korea. Early dolmens in the region are distinguished by grave goods like double-hilts stone daggers, indented-triangle arrowheads, two-tier root arrowheads, and grinded red jars. Most of these dolmens are of the no-leg style, or feature similarly structured buried body. This suggests that the regional dolmen culture was significantly influenced by those who led the dolmen culture at that time. This paper investigates the origins and development of no-leg style dolmens, along with the evolution of grave goods traditions in the surrounding area, with a specific focus on the Birae-dong dolmens in Daejeon.
