이상 연작시 「오감도」 이어서 읽기

국문 초록

본 연구는 기이한 삶과 천재성, 절망적인 개인과 시대의 병리성 등으로 덧씌워진 기존 이상 연구 경향에서 시선을 달리하고자 하는 욕망으로부터 출발한다. 병리적 시대 속에서 개인의 병리를 견디며 살아낸 이상의 글쓰기는 ‘존재와 권위의 동시적 부재들에 대한 충실성’이라는 라캉 정신분석 시술 윤리의 제 1원칙과 만나서 분할가능하고 반복되는 작가 자신의 자기-정립활동의 실현으로 읽힐 수 있다. 특히 작가 스스로 그 시대보다 수십 년 앞서 있다는 자부심과 달리 당대 독자와 평단의 혹평으로 절반의 지점에서 연재 중단된 「오감도(烏瞰圖)」는 이상의 자기-정립활동의 최정점으로 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 라캉이 말하는 주체화의 입장에서 이상의 「오감도(烏瞰圖)」를 존재 회복의 서사로 보고, 21세기를 살아가는 현대의 독자에게 주는 치유의 가능성을 탐색하고자 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 내적·외적으로 가장 절망적이었던 삶의 시기에서 작가 이상에게 욕망의 새로운 출구가 되었던 시 쓰기가 거의 한 세기 이후 현대의 독자들에게 던지는 치유적 힘의 가능성을 탐색해보는 동시에, 연작시로서의 「오감도」를 유기적으로 이어서 읽어보고자 한다. 작가 이상 개인의 실제 삶과 식민지 현실이라는 외부 요건을 소거하고 현재의 시선으로 다시 읽는 연작시 「오감도」는 독자인 주체가 지닌 내적 이질성인 소외와 탈중심성을 반영하는 거울이 되고, 스크린이 되어 열린다. 「오감도」라는 거울 혹은 텅 빈 스크린 위에 독자가 덧쓰고 있는 그 의미가 이상이 담은 ‘시적 진실’이 아니라 독자 주체가 뱉고 있는 자기-정립활동에 다름 아님을 수용할 때 이상의 「오감도」를 새로운 방향으로 읽을 수 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 연작시 형태의 「오감도」를 발표 순서에 맞춰 분류하고, 각 분류에 따라 분석한다.

영문 초록

This study starts from the desire to change the perspective from the research trend of Lee, Sang, where the bizarre life and genius, and the desperate pathology of the individual and the times were the main factors. His writing, who endured individual pathology in a pathological era, meets the first principle of Lacan's psychoanalytic ethic of 'fidelity to the simultaneous absence of existence and authority', and it can be read as the realization of the artist's divisible and repeated self-establishment activities. In particular, unlike the pride that the author himself was several decades ahead of his time, “Ogamdo”, which was discontinued due to harsh criticism from contemporary readers and critics, is considered the pinnacle of his self-establishment activity. Based on Lacan's theory of subjectivization, this study aims to explore the possibility of healing given to readers by viewing “Ogamdo” of Lee, Sang as a narrative of restoration of existence. I would like to re-read “Ogamdo”, focusing on the potential of the healing power that the writing of poetry, which was a new exit for Lee, Sang's desire in the most desperate period of his life, both internally and externally, to current readers. “Ogamdo”, which erases the requirements of his life and colonial reality, is a mirror and a screen that reflects the alienation and decentralization of the reader subject's inner heterogeneity. The reader writes on the mirror or blank screen called “Ogamdo”. If we accept the fact that the meaning is not the ‘poetic truth’ contained in the ideal but the self-establishment activity of the reader subject, we can read Lee, Sang’s “Ogamdo” in a new direction. For this purpose, this study classifies “Ogamdo” in the form of a series of poems according to the publication order, and analyzes them according to each classification.
