국문 초록

본 연구는 초임 유아교사들의 놀이기록 기반 원내 교사학습공동체 참여 경험을 살펴봄으로써 유아⋅놀이중심 교육과정 실행자로서 초임 유아교사의 전문성함양에 관한 실천적 함의를 도출하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 교직 첫해각자의 근무기관에서 초임 유아교사로서 유아⋅놀이중심 교육과정의 이해와 실천을위해 원내 교사학습공동체에 참여하면서 놀이기록을 작성하고 공유한 경험이 있는초임 유아교사 3명을 목적표집하여 3회 집단 면담을 수행하였다. 이를 포괄적 분석절차에 따라 분석한 결과, 첫째, 초임 유아교사들은 교사학습공동체 내 동료교사들과호혜적 관계 형성을 통해 유아와 놀이에 대한 실천적 지식을 축적해 갔다. 둘째, 놀이기록 작성 및 공유 경험은 교사인 ‘나’의 부족함을 직면하고 드러내는 과정이자 교사로서 성장해 가는 계기가 되었다. 셋째, 초임 유아교사들은 놀이 확장을 위한 교사로서자신의 조급한 마음과 개입이 드러나는 놀이기록에 대해 반성적으로 성찰함으로써유아와 함께 만들어가는 놀이중심 교육과정의 의미를 재구성해 갔다. 본 연구 결과는초임 유아교사의 관점에서 놀이기록 공유의 의미와 가치를 밝히고 놀이기록 기반교사학습공동체 활성화 방안에 대한 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to draw practical implications for novice early childhood teachers' professional development as implementers of child-centered and play-based curriculum by examining their experiences of participating in a play documentation-based, in-school teacher learning community. To this end, three group interviews were conducted with three novice early childhood teachers who had participated in an in-school teacher learning community for implementing child-centered and play-based curriculum within their institutions during their first year of teaching. The findings of this study are as follows. First, teachers accumulated practical knowledge about children and play through the formation of reciprocal relationships with colleagues in the teacher learning community. Second, the experience of writing and sharing play documentation was a process of facing and revealing the deficiencies of ‘I’ as a teacher and an opportunity to grow as a teacher. Third, teachers reconstructed the meaning of play-based curriculum that they co-create with children by reflecting on the play documentation that revealed their impatience and interventions as teachers for play expansion. The findings reveal the meaning and value of sharing play documentation from the perspective of novice early childhood teachers and provide implications for how to promote play documentation-based teacher learning communities.
