20대 대학생의 1인 가구 경험과 의미에 관한 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 1인 가구를 구성하고 있는 20대 대학생을 대상으로 1인 가구 구성 경험과 이에 대한 의미를 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 방법 이를 위해 1인 가구를 구성하고 있는 전국 남녀 대학생 200명을 대상으로 1인 가구 구성원으로서의 생활방식, 삶의 질, 1인 가구 구성계기, 구성 이후의 변화, 구성 경험에 대한 의미에 대해 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 응답 내용은 합의적 질적 연구 수정본(CQR-M)을 사용하여 분석하였으며, 외부 전문가의 평정을 통해 최종 정리하였다. 결과 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 1인 가구 구성 계기는 외부상황적 이유와 내부심리적 이유로 도출되었다. 둘째, 1인 가구 구성 이후의 삶의 변화는 시간활용 변화, 생활방식 변화, 대인관계 변화로 구분되었다. 셋째, 대학생 1인 가구 경험의 의미는 자존감 향상, 사회인 준비과정, 통찰의 계기로 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구의 결과를 통해 기존 1인 가구 연구에서 확장하면서, 발달적 관점에서 20대 청년층의 1인 가구의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 방안을 제안하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 시사점 및 한계점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to explore the experiences of living alone 20-something college students forming single-person households and to delve into the significance attached to this experience. Methods To accomplish this, a survey was conducted among 200 male and female college students nationwide who are living alone, focusing on their lifestyle as single household members, quality of life, reasons for living alone, changes after living alone, and the significance of this experience. Results The primary outcomes of the study are as follows: Firstly, the reasons for college students forming single-person households were derived from external situational factors and internal psychological reasons. Secondly, changes in life after forming single-person households were categorized into changes in time management, lifestyle, and interpersonal relationships. Thirdly, the meaning of the experience of living alone for college students was perceived as an enhancement in self-esteem, a preparation process for societal integration, and an avenue for insight. Conclusions Through the outcomes of this research, suggestions were proposed to expand upon existing studies on single-person households, focusing on developmental perspectives to enhance the quality of life for 20-something individuals living alone. Finally, implications and limitations of this study were outlined.
