조선과 지나의 국경 특성에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 조선과 지나의 국경과 역사지리학에 대한 일반적 고찰을 토대로 『중국역사지도』와 『중국국치지도』에 나타난 조선과 지나의 최초 국경을 조사·분석하고, 이러한 과정으로 나타나는 현상을 통해 국경의 특성이 무엇인가를 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위한 조사방법은 문헌 조사법과 인터넷조사법을 병행하였다. 분석방법은 기술적(記述的) 분석방법과 비교 분석방법을 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 조선과 지나 국경의 특성은 다음과 같이 도출되었다. 첫째, 『동북아역사지도집』에서 중국의 정치적 배경에 따라 『동북아역사지도집』을 인위적으로 조작·왜곡되었으며, ‘역사상의 중국’과 ‘중국 강역의 원칙은 허구로, 1차 사료를 배제하고, 아무런 근거 없이 진장성을 연장하여 평양 부근까지 그려 넣은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 『중국국치지도』에서 중국은 한반도 전체와 대한해협, 이어도까지 ‘잃어버린 땅’으로 포함했으며, 현재 한국이 중국 영토가 아닌 것을 국가의 수치로 여기고 국민에게 교육한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 『CRS 보고서』에서 ‘동북아역사재단’은 조선의 건국연대와 강역을 제대로 표기, 설명하지 못하고 있는 가운데, 북한은 적어도 역사 인식만큼은 한국보다 확실하다는 것을 자료를 통하여 알 수 있었으며, 한국의 신냉전 시대에 역사와 영토회복, 영토주권 확보가 중요하지만, 정부의 국경연구 후퇴 및 무대응이라는 특성이 연구 결과로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the first border between Coseon and China shown in the 『Historical Map of China』 and the 『Disgrace Map of China』 based on a general consideration of the border and historical geography of Coseon and China, and to examine the phenomena that appear through this process. Through this, it suggests what the characteristics of the border are. The research method for this was a combination of literature research and internet research. The analysis method used was a descriptive analysis method and a comparative analysis method. As a result of the study, the characteristics of the border between Coseon and China were derived as follows. First, in the 『Atlas of Northeast Asian History』, the Atlas of Northeast Asian History was artificially manipulated and distorted according to China's political background, and the principles of 'China in history' and 'China's river regions' are fiction, excluding primary sources, and, it was found that Jinjangseong Fortress was extended to the vicinity of Pyongyang without any basis. Second, in the 『Disgrace Map of China』, China included the entire Korean Peninsula, the Strait of Korea, and even Ieo Island as ‘lost lands’, and it appears that it considered it a shame for the nation that Korea is not currently Chinese territory and educated its citizens. Third, in the 『CRS report』, while the 'Northeast Asian History Foundation' failed to properly indicate and explain the founding date and region of Coseon, we were able to see through the data that North Korea was at least more certain in its historical awareness than South Korea, and that Korea's new Although history, territorial recovery, and securing territorial sovereignty were important during the Cold War, research results showed that the government retreated from border research and did not respond.
