국문 초록

본고는 고려와 조선의 해외체험 한시의 독법에 대한 고민의 선상에서 출발한다. 고려와 조선에서 저작된 해외체험 소재 한시는 어떠한 맥락으로 연결될 수 있는가, 단절된 부분이 있다면 어떠한 이유에서인가를 통시적으로 살펴보고자 하는 것은, 이른바 사행(使行) 시문(詩文) 연구자들의 공통적인 목표일 수도 있겠다. 고려 지식인의 해외체험 경로는 크게 두 가지로 분류할 수 있다. 하나는 원(元)/명(明) 유학 및 제과(制科)를 통한 경로이며, 다른 하나는 사행(使行) 경로이다. 고려 시기 해외체험 한시를 분석함에 있어 ‘사행시’로 그 범주를 국한하기는 어렵기에, 사신 접반(接伴) 과정에서 저작된 수창시, 봉명(奉命) 사신을 보내는 송시(送詩)를 포함할 필요가 있다. 이를 ‘외교 한시’로 명명하고, 더 큰 범주에서 ‘외교 한시’의 전형과 특질을 논해야만 고려와 조선 사행시(혹은 사행 문학)의 연속과 단절이 구체화 될 것이다. 이에, 원명 교체기 외교 문서 및 한시에 특장을 보인 도은(陶隱) 이숭인(李崇仁, 1347~1392)의 외교 한시를 주 분석대상으로 삼아 고려말 복잡한 국제 질서에 대응하는 현리(賢吏)가 어떻게 양성되는가를 성균관 재건과 연관 지어 살펴보고자 한다. 아울러, 고려 외교 한시 전형의 탄생 과정 일단을 추정해보고자 한다.

영문 초록

Poems of overseas experience from the Goryeo and Joseon dynasties. A key question that may be shared among researchers of “sahaeng” (diplomatic missions) poetic literature is how these poems, composed during the Goryeo and Joseon periods about overseas experiences, can be linked contextually, and if there are discontinuities, what might be the reasons for such gaps. The overseas experiences of Goryeo intellectuals can be categorized into two main paths. One is through studying abroad in the Yuan and Ming dynasties and via the “jegwa(制科)” (imperial examination) system. The other is through the diplomatic mission route. When analyzing the Goryeo-period Poems of overseas it's insufficient to confine the category merely to “sahaeng poetry(使行詩)”. It is necessary to include poems written during the ambassador reception process and poems sent to appointed ambassadors. We term this as “diplomatic poetry” and believe that a discussion of the characteristics and typologies of “diplomatic poetry” from a broader perspective is essential to elucidate the continuity and disjunction between the Goryeo and Joseon “sahaeng poetry” or diplomatic literature. In this context, we primarily analyze the diplomatic poetry of Lee Soong-in (also known as Do-eun, 1347-1392), who exhibited a unique style in diplomatic documents and poetry during the transitional phase between the Yuan and Ming dynasties. We aim to explore how wise and competent officials were nurtured in response to the complex international order of late Goryeo, particularly in connection with the reconstruction of Sungkyunkwan. Additionally, we endeavor to hypothesize the genesis of the Goryeo diplomatic poetry archetype.
