국문 초록

본 연구에서는 언어반응촉진 전략을 사용한 보완대체의사소통 중재(AAC)가 자폐성 장애 중학생의 구문능력과 어휘다양도에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 참여자는 중학교 특수학급과 특수학교에 재학 중인 자폐성장애 중학생 2명이었으며, 연구 설계는 행동간 중다간헐기초선 설계를 적용하였다. 중재 방법으로는 AAC 도구인 의사소통판, 구문스토리맵, 언어반응촉진전략을 사용하였다. 종속변인인 구문능력의 측정은 격조사 표현의 변화, 평균발화길이(평균형태소길이(MLU-m), 평균낱말길이(MLU-w), 평균어절길이(MLU-c))로 측정하였으며, 어휘다양도의 변화는 전체 낱말 수(NTW)와 다른 낱말 수(NDW)로 분석하였다. 연구결과 언어반응촉진 전략(확장하기, 대조하여 고쳐 말하기, 시범보이며 요구하기, 시간지연)과 구문스토리맵, 의사소통판을 사용한 AAC 중재로 자폐성장애 중학생의 구문능력과 어휘다양도가 향상되고 유지되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 언어반응촉진 전략과, 구문스토리맵, 의사소통판을 사용한 AAC 중재가 자폐성장애 중학생의 구문능력과 어휘다양도에 미치는 효과와 의의에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) intervention using strategies prompting language response on syntax ability (grammatical morpheme, mean length of utterance) and vocabulary diversity (the number of total words, the number of different words) of middle school students with autism. Participants in this study were two middle school students with autism who talked through just some single words and had little spontaneous speech. In this study, the independent variables were strategies prompting language response (expansion, recast with contrast, modeling with mand, and time delay), no-tech AAC aid, story-grammar map, and familiar and experienced photos. Dependent variables were grammatical morphemes (subject case marker), (object case marker), (locative case marker), Mean length of utterance (MLU-m, MLU-w, MLU-c) and vocabulary diversity. Multiple probe baseline design across behaviors was conducted and the interventions were given three sessions a week. As a result of this study, AAC intervention using strategies prompting language response was effective on increasing grammatical morphemes and MLU of middle school students with autism. In addition to the AAC intervention using strategies prompting language response was effective on vocabulary diversity of middle school students with autism.
