『한요부 타ᄉᆞᆷ(삼)오해』의 발견과 ‘古한글’에 대한 고찰

국문 초록

이 글은 최근 발견된 『한요부(寒窯賦) 타ᄉᆞᆷ오해』에 표기된 문자의 내용을 밝히고, 훈민정음과의 비교를 통해 우리 한글의 기원과 역사를 재조명하는 데 목적이 있다. 훈민정음 창제 이전에 우리 민족의 문자생활은 漢字가 중심이었다. 세종이 창제한 훈민정음이 반포되고 400년이 다되도록 국문으로 공인되지 못한 것을 보면, 삼국시대를 지나 고려, 조선에 이르기까지 한자는 절대적인 영향력을 발휘했다. 이른바 이두, 향찰 등이 우리 문자를 대신했다고 하나 그것도 한자를 빌려 쓰는 차자(借字)에 지나지 않았다. 훈민정음을 연구할 때마다 등장하는 문제는 그 기원설이다. 자방고전(字倣古篆)이란 말에서 알 수 있듯이 글자의 꼴은 옛 전자(篆字)를 모방했다는 말이다. 그후 훈민정음해례본의 발견으로 어느 정도 해명이 되었으나 훈민정음이 고대 문자로부터 기원했다는 주장은 끊이지 않았다. 그런데 고대문자 기원설이 설득력을 얻기 위해서는 그것을 입증할만한 실물 언어재가 있어야 한다. 그동안 실물 언어재의 부재로 이런 주장들은 힘을 얻지 못했다. 이번에 발견된 『한요부-타ᄉᆞᆷ오해』 600여 자의 古한글을 통해 우리는 (훈민정음 이전 문자인) 가림토 문자와 화폐문자를 재조명하고, 나아가 우리 한글 (소리문자)의 기원과 역사에 진전된 해답을 얻을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this article is to reveal the contents of the characters written in the recently discovered 『Han Yobu-Tasam ohae』 and to re-examine the origin and history of Korean Hangul through comparison with ‘Hunminjeongeum’. Before the creation of Hunminjeongeum, the literary life of the Korean people was centered on Chinese characters. Considering that it was not recognized as a national character for nearly 400 years after the promulgation of Hunminjeongeum, which was created by King Sejong, it can be said that Chinese characters had an absolute influence from the Three Kindoms period to oryeo and Joseon. The so-called ‘Idu’ and ‘Hyangchal’ replaced our characters, but they were also limited characters borrowed from Chinese characters. The origin theory is the problem that appears whenever studying Hunminjeongeum. As can be seen from the phrase ‘Jabangojeon’-Imitating the old letters-the appearance of the Hunminjeongeum characters imitated the old letters. After that, the discovery of ‘Hunminjeongeum Hallyebon’ was explained to some extent, but the claim that Hunminjeongeum originated from ancient letters continued. However, in order for the theory of origin of ancient letters to be convincing, there must be real language materials to prove it. Through the 600-character old Hangul characters of the newly discovered 􂔃Han Yobu-Tasam ohae􂔄, it is expected to re-examine the Garimto characters and Currency characters, and further obtain an advanced answer to the origin and history of Korean Hangul (phonetic characters).
