다문화 놀이프로그램 개발을 통한 예비유아교사의 다문화 인식 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 G시 S대학교 유아교육과 2학년 학생들이 유아교육 현장에서 다양한 문화를 경험할 수 있는 놀이프로그램을 개발하고, 이를 반영한 유아다문화 교육 수업을 마치고 학생들의 다문화 인식변화를 탐색하였다. 연구결과 학생들이 개발한 다문화 놀이프로그램은 관광식 접근에서 벗어나 다양성을 이해할 수 있는 놀이 경험이 되었다. 다문화 놀이프로그램은 놀이중심 누리과정을 반영하였고, 다문화에 대한 편견이 감소하였다. 학생들의 다문화에 대한 인식변화는 다문화영유아는 비다문화영유아와 다르지 않다고 인식 전환이 일어났으며, 다문화인에 대한 지나친 배려와 친절이 불편함을 초래할 수 있음을 느꼈다. 다문화교육 수업을 마치고 오히려 다문화인 상대를 잘할 수 있을지 두려움을 느끼지만, 다문화적 역량은 미래에 요구하는 역량이므로 배운 것을 잘 활용하겠다고 하였다. 후속 연구에서는 다문화 놀이프로그램을 활용하고 결과를 분석하여 실질적이고 체계적인 다문화 교육 프로그램을 개발할 것을 제언하는 바이다.

영문 초록

This study, 2nd grade students from the Department of Early Childhood Education at S University in G City developed a multicultural play program through PBL classes, and explored changes in students' multicultural awareness during the development process. As a result of study, the multicultural play program developed by students enabled a play-experientaial understading of diversity, moving beyond a tourism-oriented approach. This multicultural program reflected the play-oriented Nuri curriculum, and resulting in a reduction of biases towards multiculturalism. Students' perception of multiculturalism changed as they realized that multicultural preschoolers were no different from their peers. They also recognized that excessive consideration and kindness towards multicultural individuals could lead to discomfort. Despite feeling anxious about how well they could interact with multicultural individuals after the multicultural education class, they acknowledged the importance of multicultural competencies in the future and expressed their willingness to apply what they had learned. For future research, it is suggested to utilize the compilation of play activities and analyze the outcomes to develop a practical and systematic multicultural program.
