판소리를 통한 문화적 문식성 교육 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 판소리 교육의 효용을 국어교육 목표의 하나인 문화적 문식성에서 찾아보고자 하였다. 문화적 문식성을 발휘한 모델로서 작가 이청준을 대상화 하여, 판소리를 수용하여 창작한 <남도사람> 연작을 중심으로, 판소리 교육이 어떻게 문화적 문식성으로 작용할 수 있는지를 살펴보았다. 이 연구에서는 고전 문화에 대한 문식성이 현대의 문화 향유에도 필요한 문식성이 될 수 있는 능력으로 본다는 의미에서 ‘문화적 문식성’을 개념화하고, 국어교육에서 이러한 능력 신장을 목표로 하는 것을 전제로 하였다. 이러한 관점에서 <남도사람> 연작에 나타난 판소리의 수용 방식을 살펴보고, 판소리에 대한 문식성이 어떻게 현대 문학 작품의 감상과 판소리의 재생산에 작용할 수 있을지를 공감적 자기화의 원리로 분석해 보았다. ‘공감적 자기화’는 문학 작품에 대한 ‘공감성’과 수용 결과를 새로운 표현으로 창출해 내는 ‘자기화’를 통합한 개념이다. 문화적 문식성의 획득이 국어교육의 목표라는 관점에서 보면, <남도사람> 연작이 보여 주는 공감적 자기화의 방식은 판소리를 통해 학습자가 성취해야 할 목표와 내용 그리고 여기서 나아가 학습자가 도달할 상을 시사한다고 할 수 있다. 판소리를 통한 문화적 문식성 교육의 의의는 첫째, 국어교육 안에서 우리 판소리에 대해 향유 문화적으로 접근할 수 있다, 둘째, 판소리를 매개로 고전과 현대를 통합하여 교육할 수 있다, 셋째, 판소리를 통한 문화적 문식성 교육은 궁극적으로 문화 향유 주체로서의 학습자를 길러 낼 수 있다, 넷째, 전통 문화 교육을 할 수 있다는 데에서 찾을 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to find to answer why we should teach Pansori in the cultural-literacy as the object of Korean language and literature education. So Lee Chung-jun should be modelled that showed his ability of cultural-literacy, and it was researched how Pansori education function as cultural-literacy on Lee Chung-jun's Namdo-Saram series. The concept of cultural-literacy in this thesis is that to have the literacy about the classic culture can be the necessary literacy about the modern culture. In this point of view, it was researched how Namdo-Saram series received Pansori and how the literacy about Pansori works on the appreciation of the modern literature and the reproduction of Pansori with the theory of the empathic appropriation. The concept of the empathic appropriation is combining the empathy on the literature and the appropriation as renewed expression of the result of the acceptance. Inthe viewpoint of accomplishing the cultural-literacy, Namdo-Saram series show that the empathic appropriation of Pansori could be the object and contents of Korean language and literature education. The meaning of the cultural-literacy education through Pansori is as follow; 1) the possibility of approaching Pansori in the viewpoint of enjoying literature, 2)the integration of the classic and modern through Pansori, 3)the possibility of educating the learner as the subject of the culture, 4)the possibility of the traditional culture education.
