아동의 놀 권리 기사에 대한 텍스트 마이닝 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 우리나라에서 보도된 언론 기사들이 아동의 놀 권리를 다루는 경향과 내용의 흐름을 확인하고, 주요하게 조명해 온 핵심어들을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 텍스트 마이닝으로 기사에 언급된 단어들을 탐색하고, 그 흐름을 보여주는 토픽을 확인하며, 텍스트가 형성하는 네트워크를 검토하였다. 이를 통해 우리 사회가 아동의 놀 권리를 바라보는 관점과 현상을 짚어보고, 놀 권리 존중을 위한 실천적 시사점을 제공하며, 선행연구와의 비교논의를 수행하고자 했다. 본 연구의 목적을 위해 2008년부터 2022년까지 보도된 기사 992건을 선정하고 단어를 정제하여, 총 5,241종 31,222개의 단어를 분석자료로 투입했다. 기사에 나타난 각 단어의 출현 빈도를 확인하고, TEXTOM 6.0에서 토픽모델링 과 TF-IDF지수를 살펴보았으며, 5회 이상 등장한 단어를 UCINET6프로그램에 입력해 언어네트워크의 중심성과 에고네트워크를 살펴보았다. 연구의 결과, 첫째, 아동의 놀 권리 기사에 쓰인 단어는 ‘아동’, ‘놀이’, ‘놀이터’, ‘서울’, ‘놀 권리’, ‘학교’, ‘사업’, ‘부모’의 순서로 빈도가 높았다. 둘째, 토픽모델링 분석에서 ‘놀면서 배울 권리 보장의 움직임’, ‘놀 권리 증진을 위한 논의’, ‘공공의 협력을 통한 놀이기반 조성’, ‘지자체에서의 정책 실행’의 4개 토픽으로 구성된 모형이 채택되었다. 셋째, 놀 권리 기사를 대표하는 핵심어로 ‘놀이’, ‘놀이터’, ‘놀 권리’, ‘서울’, ‘학교’, ‘사업’이 도출되었다. 이 연구는 아동의 놀 권리 기사가 교육 및 정책과 연결되어 보도되며, 권리 존중을 위한 협력을 공공의 차원에서 강조하고, 지방자치단체에서의 정책적 실행을 드러내는 경향이 있음을 발견하였다. 이와 함께 놀 권리 기사들을 관통하는 핵심어들을 찾고, 이들과 연결성을 가지는 단어들을 발굴함으로써, 우리 사회가 놀 권리를 바라보는 초점을 확인했다. 또한, 우리나라 아동의 놀 권리에 관한 후속 연구와 권리 존중을 위한 실천적 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to identify the trends and content flow of media articles on children's right to play in South Korea and to analyze the keywords that have been highlighted. This was done through text mining of the articles to explore the words used in the media, identify the flow through topics, and examine the networks formed by the texts. In doing so, this study examined how the public views children's right to play, provided practical implications for respecting the right to play and conducted a comparative discussion with previous research. For the purpose of this study, 992 articles reported from 2008 to 2022 were selected and reviewed for words, and a total of 31,222 words in 5,241 categories were used for analysis. The frequency of occurrence of each word in the articles was counted, topic modeling and TF-IDF index were calculated in TEXTOM 6.0, and words that appeared more than five times were entered into the UCINET6 program to examine the centrality of the language network and the ego network. The results of the study are as follows. First, the words used in the articles on children's right to play were 'child', 'play', 'playground', 'Seoul', 'right to play', 'school', 'project', and 'parent'. Second, the topic modeling analysis adopted a model consisting of four topics: 'Movement to ensure the right to play and learn', 'Discussion to promote the right to play', 'Building a foundation for play through public cooperation', and 'Policy implementation in local governments'. Third, 'play', 'playground', 'right to play', 'Seoul', 'school', and 'project' were identified as keywords. This study found that articles on children's right to play tend to be reported in connection with education and policy, emphasize cooperation in the public sector to respect the right, and reveal policy implementation in local governments. By exploring the keywords that run through the articles and uncovering the connections between them, the focus of society's view of the right to play was identified. Also, this study discussed follow-up research on children's right to play in South Korea and the practical implications of respecting the right.
