인공지능의 설교 활용에 관한 연구

국문 초록

4차 산업혁명이 우리 사회를 큰 소용돌이로 몰아가고 있다. 그리고 그 소용돌이 중 최근 가장 큰 이슈로 부각 된 것은 인공지능이다. 그중 단연 대화형 인공지능 서비스 챗GPT가 큰 주목을 받고 있다. 이런 흐름은 교회라고 예외일 수 없다. 많은 목회자가 이미 챗GPT를 설교 준비에 사용하고 있다. 물론 인공지능의 설교 활용은 부정적인 시각이 있지만 피할 수 없는 시대의 흐름이다. 중요한 것은 인공지능의 올바른 사용이다. 그렇다면 인공지능은 설교에서 어떻게 활용되어야 하는가? 인공지능이 제공하는 설교문을 그대로 사용하는 것은 표절이라는 윤리적 문제 그리고 그것을 설교로 받아들일 수 있는지에 대한 신학적 문제를 낳는다. 인공지능에는 인격과 영성이 담겨 있지 않기 때문에 설교로 받아들일 수 없다. 표절은 윤리적으로 허락될 수 없다. 설교자는 인공지능의 지배를 받는 것이 아니라 인공지능이라는 기술을 지배하고 주도적으로 활용할 수 있어야 한다. 설교에서의 챗GPT와 같은 인공지능이 제공하는 설교문 전체 혹은 일부를 직접 사용하는 것은 허용되어선 안 된다. 설교자는 이런 유혹에 빠질 수 있으므로 설교자는 스스로 잘 관리하여 인공지능의 지배를 받는 설교가 아니라 인공지능을 지배하고 주도적으로 활용하는 방향을 선택해야 한다. 인공지능 챗GPT를 사용할 때에는 본문 해석을 위한 자료 검색, 설교에 필요한 예화 검색, 본문의 주제와 관련된 성경 구절 검색, 설교의 기본 구조 등의 도움을 받을 수 있다. 4차 산업혁명의 거대한 도전 앞에 설교자에게는 맡겨진 설교자의 역할을 성실하게 감당할 책임이 어느 때보다 절실히 요구된다.

영문 초록

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is driving our society in new directions, artificial intelligence (AI) has recently emerged as the greatest issue. Among AI implementations, ChatGPT, a conversational AI service, is drawing great attention. This trend has also been seen in the church. Many pastors are already using ChatGPT to prepare for sermons. Although there is a negative view of using AI for sermons, it is an inevitable trend today. What is important is the appropriate use of AI. Then, how should A.I. be used in preaching? Using the sermon provided by AI as it creates an ethical problem of plagiarism and a theological problem of whether it can be accepted as a sermon. Because AI does not contain personality and spirituality, it cannot be taken as the right sermon. Plagiarism is ethically unacceptable. Preachers should not be governed by artificial intelligence but should be able to dominate and take the lead in using the technology of artificial intelligence. Direct use of all or some of the sermons provided by AI, such as ChatGPT in sermons, should not be allowed. Preachers can be tempted by plagiarism, so preachers should choose to dominate and take the lead in using AI rather than preaching under the control of AI by managing themselves appropriately. ChatGPT can be used for guidance, such as searching for Text interpretations, example stories for preaching, Bible phrases related to the subject of the Text, and a proper structure for preaching. In the face of the great challenge of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the responsibility to faithfully play the role of preacher is entrusted to the preacher and is more urgently required than ever.
