복음주의 선교운동 로잔(Lausanne Movement)이 나아갈 방향성에 대한 고찰

국문 초록

1974년 시작된 현대 복음주의선교운동인 로잔은 선교에 있어 전도(evangelism) 와 사회참여(social action)문제로 양극화되어가고 있는 상황에서 야기된 신학적 혼돈 속에서 전 세계 복음주의 교회가 협력하여 세계복음화에 헌신할 필요를 느끼는 가운데 태동하였다. 이런 점에서 로잔운동은 개신교 현대선교 운동에서 그 역사적 의미가 크다고 할 수 있다. 1960년대 에큐메니컬 선교의 잘못된 선교에 위기의식을 느껴 태동된 로잔운동의 현재의 상황은 처음 시작될 때와 다른 모습을 보이고 있다. 한국에서 2024 년 4차 대회를 앞두고 지금까지 3번의 대회를 치르는 동안 로잔이 점점 ‘인간 삶의 전 영역을 선교의 대상’으로 삼으므로 처음 태동할 때 세계복음화(world evangelization)라는 확고하게 정했던 최우선 순위가 약화되고 있음을 연구자는 우려했다. 본 연구에서 연구자는 로잔운동이 태동되는 데 결정적 계기가 된 1966년 베를린대회, 1970년 프랑크푸르트선언문의 내용을 살펴보고, 1974년 로잔 1차 대회 때 가졌던 로잔의 선교사상과 독특성을 회복하도록 촉구하는 제언들을 한 후 글을 맺었다.

영문 초록

Lausanne, a modern evangelical missionary movement that began in 1974, has devoted itself to the world evangelization by cooperating with evangelical churches around the world amid the theological chaos caused by the polarization of evangelism and social action in missions. In this respect, Lausanne Movement can be evaluated to have great historical significance in the modern Protestant missionary movement. However, the current situation of the Lausanne Movement, which was born with a great sense of crisis due to the wrong mission of ecumenical mission in the 1960s, has shown a different appearance from when it was first born. During the three conferences, many in Lausanne have worried that the top priority, which was firmly established at the beginning of World Evangelization, has weakened as Lausanne gradually makes ‘all areas of human life the object of missions.’ In this study, the researcher examined the contents of the 1966 Berlin Congress and the 1970 Frankfurt Declaration, which made great contributions for the birth of the Lausanne Movement, and made some proposes to urge the recovery of Lausanne's missionary ideals held at the 1st Lausanne Conference in 1974.
