단위학교의 초등 저학년 기초학력 진단과 지원에 관한 구조적 탐색

국문 초록

코로나 19이후 전체적으로 학력 부진 문제가 심화되면서 초등학교 저학년 학생의 기초학력 부진 문제에 대한 우려가 확산되었다. 이러한 우려에 대응하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 단위학교의 초등 저학년 기초학력 지원을 위한 방안을 모색하기 위해 기초학력 보장과 관련한 학교 구조를 탐색하였다. 경기지역 4개 초등학교를 사례로 선정하여 담임교사. 학교 관리자, 외부지원 인력, 학부모, 교육지원청 장학사, 학습종합클리닉센터 상담사 등의 면담을 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 기초학력 지원과 관련한 구조적인 문제로 학생 중심이 아닌 사업 중심의 지원, 교사공동체 중심의 지원이 아닌 개별교사의 각개전투식의 지원, 온라인 플랫폼의 낮은 활용도, 외부 지원인력에 의존한 기초학력 지원, 특정 영역(문식력)에 치우친 경향이 있었다. 이러한 구조적인 문제에 대한 해결책을 논의하고 단위학교 중심의 체계적인 기초학력 지원 체제를 구축하기 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

After COVID-19, as the overall problem of poor academic performance intensified, concerns about the poor basic academic ability of students in the lower grades of elementary school spread. In order to respond to these concerns, this study explored the school structure related to guaranteeing basic academic ability in order to find a plan to support basic academic ability in the lower elementary grades of unit school. We selected 4 elementary schools in the Gyeonggi area. Interviews were conducted with school administrators, external instructors, parents, superintendents at the Office of Education, and counselors at the Learning Comprehensive Clinic Center. The study have shown that the structural problems related to support for basic academic ability include project-oriented support rather than student-centered support, individual teacher's individual battle-style support rather than teacher community-centered support, low utilization of online platforms, and basic academic ability dependent on external support instructors. Also ,the support was focused on a specific area (literacy). Solutions to these structural problems were discussed, and plans for establishing a systematic basic education support system centered on unit schools were presented.
