수학 교과 역량에 대한 교사들의 인식 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 2015 개정 교육과정의 수학 교과 역량에 대한 교사들의 인식을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 고등학교 수학교사 42명을 대상으로 6가지 수학 교과 역량에 대해 본인만의 언어로 서술하도록 한 후, 언어 네트워크 분석을 활용하여 분석하였다. 또한 실제 수학수업에서 중요하게 다루거나 그렇지 못하는 역량에 대한 설문도 함께 실시하여 그 이유를 역량별로 분석하여 범주화하였다. 역량에 대한 교사들의 응답과 교육과정의 서술을 비교한 결과, 정보 처리는 추론과 더불어 높은 일치도를 보였으나 창의‧융합과 태도 및 실천은 일치도가 낮았다. 또한 교사들은 각 역량의 일부 하위요소에 대한 이해가 부족하였다. 교사들은 학교수학에서 문제 해결을 가장 중요한 역량으로 인식하였고, 수업에서 중요하게 다루지 못하는 역량으로 창의‧융합과 정보 처리를 주로 꼽았으나 그 이유에는 차이가 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 수학 교수학습에서 역량 함양 교육의 안착을 위한 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze teachers' perceptions about the mathematical competency of the 2015 revised curriculum. To this end, 42 high school mathematics teachers were asked to describe mathematical competencies in their own words. It was analyzed using semantic network analysis. In addition, the questionnaire was also conducted on the competencies that were considered important or not important in mathematics classes, and the reasons were analyzed and categorized by competencies. As a result of comparing teachers' responses to competencies and the description of the curriculum, information processing showed high agreement, but creativity and integration, attitude and practice showed low agreement. Also, teachers lacked understanding of some sub-elements of each competency. Teachers recognized problem solving as the most important competency in school mathematics. creativity and integration and information processing were mainly mentioned as competencies that were not considered important in class, but the reasons were different. Based on the main results, implications for mathematics teaching and learning were presented.
