영문 초록

The Mongolian ｢Geser｣ story, which contains the spirit and great character of the Mongolian people, is Mongolia's best literary work. The story of the Mongolian ｢Geser｣ has been handed down by spoken language, so it is the most accurate material to tell the characteristics of Mongolian at the time. Such research on Mongolian ｢Geser｣ is being conducted around the world. Since Pa. Pallas, a Russian traveler in the past mentioned the Mongolian ｢Geser｣, the history of Mongolian ｢ Geser｣ research has been about 200 years. During these 200 years, various and abundant research results were published in diverse fields such as language, history, and literature with the Mongolian ｢Geser｣. However, most of these studies are focused on the editions of ｢Peking Geser｣ and ｢Buryat Geser｣, and there is a lack of research on various Mongolian ｢Geser｣ editions. In particular, it is not easy to find studies related to the linguistics of Mongolian ｢Geser｣ editions. In this paper, we faced these problems and analyzed the ｢Longfu Temple Geser｣ phonologically from a linguistic perspective, which has not been studied much in the past. By phonologically studying ｢Longfu Temple Geser｣ in this way, I would like to learn more about the characteristics of the Mongolian language used by Mongolians in the 18th and 19th centuries. First, the writer transcribed it into Latin and later conducted a phonological analysis. Through this analysis, it was found that various phonological changes such as vowel assimilation(complete/incomplete assimilation), i-breaking or vowel elision (diphthong > monophthong) were inherent in ｢Longfu Temple Geser｣. These results are consistent with many of the previous studies of ｢Peking Geser｣ and are also most consistent with the characteristics of the previously revealed modern Mongolian language. In the future, various Mongolian ｢Geser｣ editions will be studied to reveal modern Mongolian characteristics further.
