영문 초록

As an extraterritorial document marking Mongolian, MONG Ŏ YU HAE has many characteristics of its own. In terms of marking method, its main characteristics are firstly reflected in the way of one-to-one translation of Mongolian vowels, consonants and Korean letters, which is based on the Korean translation method in the SIP I ZA TU MUN, while drawing on the marking method of Mongolian phonetic notation in the Manchu-Mongolian Dictionary. Secondly, in order to follow the rules of Mongolian orthography, some writing methods of Mongolian are added with special symbols. Some of the additional symbols are imitated from Mongolian characters, and some are created by the Koreans themselves. And this kind of additional symbol is also the most significant feature that distinguishes MONG O U HAE from other similar documents. There are traces of using Manchu-Mongolian dictionaries for reference in the aspects of individual vowels (especially round-lipped vowels) and consonants in Mongolian. This paper mainly discusses this issue.
