한시에 나타난 적빈(赤貧) 양상

국문 초록

이 논문은 한시에 등장한 적빈(赤貧) 양상을 고찰하여 당대의 식문화와 핍진한 삶에 대한 인식을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 먼저 예식(禮食)과 식관(食觀)의 배경을 고찰한 결과 밥을 먹는 일은 예(禮)를 바탕으로 한 정신적 가치의 추구이자 정서를 공유하는 것이며 타인을 배려하는 예식이 강조되어 나타난 것이었다. 이는 의로움과 정신적인 가치에 주안점을 두고 절약하는 삶의 유학적 식관이 반영되어 나타난 것을 알 수 있었다. 다음으로 적빈의 형상화 양상은 자탄과 술회의 감성의 표출로 드러났고 보은과 지향하는 인물의 인식이 반영된 것으로 나타났다. 첫째, 자탄과 술회의 감성 표출에서는 탁물우의(託物寓意) 기법과 가난한 삶을 자신의 탓으로 돌리는 정서를 반영한 것, 궁핍한 삶을 촉각과 청각의 복합감각으로 제시하여 고단한 정서를 핍진하게 드러내는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보은과 지향하는 인물의 인식이 반영된 결과 먼저, 보은하는 인물로 한신(韓信)이라는 특정 인물을 용사하는 경향을 보여주었다. 다음으로, 지향하는 인물의 인식이 반영된 결과 자신이 동경하는 인물들이 거론되었다. 이들은 중국의 인물로 자문(子文), 백거이(白居易), 왕교(王喬), 범염(范冉), 맹상(孟嘗), 유고지(庾杲之), 왕유(王維) 등이었다. 이들을 용사하여 적빈한 삶을 극복하고자 하는 인식을 드러낸 것을 알 수 있다. 밥을 먹는 일은 예를 통해 대동(大同)의 세계를 열어가고자 하는 ‘함께 하기’의 일환이며 정신적 가치의 추구뿐만 아니라 자신이 지향하고자 인물과 같아지기를 희망하는 인식의 반영임을 알 수 있었다. 이 연구는 한시 속에 나타난 적빈의 양상을 살펴본 시론적 성격의 논문이라는 점과 한시 연구의 영역을 새롭게 확장한 성과라는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

영문 초록

This paper focuses on extending the awareness of the contemporary dietary culture and verisimilar life by contemplating how Chinese poetry bears extreme poverty in it. First of all, traditional dining manner and its standpoint on dining have them that just eating boiled rice is not only pursuing some psychological values and sharing emotions based on traditional courtesy(禮), but also a way of highlighting the dining manner that requires to consider ‘other’ thoughtfully. Furthermore, the embodiment of boiled rice and extreme poverty has the expression of complaining to themselves and relating their thoughts, and the reflection on returning favors and being aware of revered figures. Firstly, those poems, in terms of complaining to oneself and revealing oneself, surely exhibit Tak-mul-u-eui(託物寓意) and attribute their poverty to themselves, and verisimilarly express their own worn-out emotion by presenting their extreme poverty in tactile sensations and auditory sensations combined. Secondly, the poems show they’d cite Hanshin’s poetry, as one of the revered figures, due to returning favor and being aware of the revered. And, those poems also deal with those figures respected by contemporaries based on the reflected recognition for the established. Among their names are a variety of ones, such as Jamun(子文), Baekgeo-i(白居易), Wang-kyo(王喬), Beomyem(范冉), Mang-sang(孟嘗), Yugoji((庾杲之), Wang-yu(王維), and they also exhibit their recognition for surmounting their poverty through those names. Eating boiled rice is considered as an effort of ‘being together’ to start to open ‘Daedong World’ through traditional courtesy and ,therefore, it means not only pursuing psychological values, but also reflecting their own awareness of the hope of resembling the figures that they respected. This study has a surely significant meaning in regard to the poetical orientation dealing with the boiled rice and the aspects extreme poverty, and pursuing to extend the original area of Chinese poetry.
