국문 초록

제2이사야서는 야웨가 구원 능력과 구원 의도를 지녔다는 사실을 변증하는 데 초점을 맞춘다. 제2이사야 당시에 이스라엘 포로들은 야웨가 무능하여 그들이 바벨론 포로가 되었다고 생각하였고, 70년의 포로의 삶 동안 그들은 바벨론 신의 위력과 강대국 바벨론의 권력을 경험하면서 야웨의 구원 능력과 구원 의도를 심각하게 의심하게 되었다. 이러한 상황에서 제2이사야는 야웨의 구원 능력과 구원 의도를 강조할 필요가 있었다. 그리하여 그는 이사야 40-48장에서 야웨와 3개의 피조물(우상, 열방, 이스라엘)과의 관계성을 각각 3단계로 설명하고, 이사야 49-55장에서 야웨와 이스라엘의 관계성을 3개의 형식으로 설명한다. 먼저 이사야 40-48장에서 제2이사야는 야웨와 우상, 야웨와 열방, 야웨와 이스라엘의 관계성을 설명하는데, 이것을 위해 이 단락을 이사야 40장(1단계), 41-45장(2단계), 46-48장(3단계)으로 구분한다. 여기에서 우상은 야웨의 피조물이며(1단계), 미래를 알지 못하는 무능력자이며(2단계), 우상의 대표인 바벨론 신은 야웨의 심판을 받는 존재로 묘사된다(3단계). 열방은 야웨의 피조물이며(1단계), 야웨의 도구인 고레스에 의해 정복 당하는 연약한 나라이며(2단계), 열방의 대표인 바벨론은 야웨의 심판을 받는 존재로 묘사된다(3단계). 이스라엘은 야웨에게 불만을 품은 불평자이며(1단계), 죄악으로 인해 야웨의 심판을 받은 포로이지만(2단계), 야웨의 은혜로 멸절되지 않고 바벨론으로부터 귀환하는 존재로 묘사된다(3단계). 이사야 49-55장에서 제2이사야는 야웨의 구원 능력과 구원 의도로 귀환한 이스라엘 포로들에게 임하는 회복의 내용을 열거하는데, 특별히 레마안/키형식, 문답 형식, 종의 노래 형식을 사용한다. 이렇게 함으로써 야웨에 대해 의구심을 가진 바벨론 포로들에게 야웨의 정체성을 바르게 인식시키고, 야웨를 통한 귀환과 회복을 희망하도록 하는 것이다.

영문 초록

The Second Isaiah focuses on the fact that YHWH has saving power and saving intention. At the time of Second Isaiah, the Israelites thought that Yahweh was incompetent when they became Babylonian captives. During their 70 years of captivity, they experienced the power of the Babylonian god and the mighty power of Babylon, and they seriously doubted Yahweh’s salvation ability and intention. In this situation, Second Isaiah needed to emphasize YHWH’s saving power and salvation intention. Thus, in Isaiah 40-48, he explains the relationship between Yahweh and the three creatures (idols, nations, and Israel) in three stages, respectively, and in Isaiah 49-55, the relationship between Yahweh and Israel is explained in three forms. First, in Isaiah 40-48, Second Isaiah explains the relationship between YHWH and idols, YHWH and the nations, and YHWH and Israel. For this purpose, this paragraph is divided into Isaiah chapter 40 (level 1), chapters 41-45 (level 2), and chapters 46-48 (level 3). Here, idols are Yahweh’s creatures (step 1), incompetent beings who do not know the future (step 2), and the god of Babylon, the representative of idols, is described as being judged by Yahweh (step 3). The nations are YHWH’s creatures (step 1), a weak nation conquered by Cyrus who is an instrument of YHWH (step 2), and Babylon, the representative of the nations, is described as being judged by YHWH (step 3). Israel is portrayed as a complainer dissatisfied with YHWH (step 1), a captive subject to YHWH’s judgment for their sins (step 2), but not exterminated by YHWH’s grace and returning from Babylon (step 3). In chapters 49-55, Second Isaiah enumerates the contents of the restoration that came to the returned Israelite captives with Yahweh’s salvific power and intention, using the Lemaan/Ki form, the question-and-answer form, and the servant song form. By doing this, the Babylonian captives, who had doubts about Yahweh, are aided to correctly recognize Yahweh’s identity and hope for return and restoration through Yahweh.
