상생적 정서 함양을 위한 통일교육의 유교 윤리적 고찰

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 상생(相生)적 정서 함양을 위한 통일교육의 방안을 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 먼저, 남북한 통일교육의 내용적 특성을 상극(相剋)과 상생(相生)의 개념적 준거에 의거하여 분석하였다. 여기서 상극은 반공, 멸공, 승공 등을 포괄하는 개념으로, 그리고 상극은 화해, 화합, 포용, 동반자 등을 포함하는 의미로 쓰였다. 사실 그 동안 남북한의 통일교육은 부정, 비판, 대결, 투쟁, 경쟁, 쟁취, 승리 등의 개념을 위주로 하는 상극 지향적 통일교육 일변도로 이루어졌다. 남한에서는 반공, 멸공, 승공으로 대변되는 통일교육을 주로 실시해 왔으며, 반면 북한에서는 적화, 대결, 공격, 혁명으로 대변되는 상극적 가치 범주 중심의 통일교육을 행하였다. 다음은, 상생 지향적 통일교육의 대안적 방안의 하나로 유교 윤리의 활용 가능성을 살펴보았다. 유교윤리는 상극(相剋)보다는 상생(相生)을 지향하는 도덕철학의 성격이 강하다. 이에 유교윤리를 상생적 통일교육 모색을 위한 대안적 패러다임의 하나로서 해석할 경우 어떤 함의를 지닐 수 있는지 살펴보았다.

영문 초록

In this paper I tried to make review on various methods which we could improve commensal emotions in reunification education. Teachers or researchers who are taking responsibility for reunification education need to clearly recognize importance of commensal emotions in the education according to its approaches such as educational theory, politics, ethics or moral philosophy and pedagogy. For that,I analyzed an internal characteristic of reunification education in South Korea and North Korea in light of the conceptual perspective of symbiosis and antipathy. Here, antipathy implies to oppose communism, to annihilate communism, to win against communism, and symbiosis implies peaceful settlement, harmony, tolerance between South Korea and North Korea. In fact, the reunification education in South Korea and North Korea concentrated on carrying out mutually contradictory education during the past time. The main reasons why the existing education of reunification could not have received deep supports from students and people were derived from them. That is, they are rooted in lack of conceptual recognition on emotional approach in educational approach of reunification education at the school education. In the future, reunification education should be educated in such way as fostering commensal emotions which are subject to provide a vitality for the reunification education. From these kinds of viewpoints, I considered the alternative from an educational approach for realizing it in light of confucian ethics in the reunification education.
