도덕과 통일교육 수업 방법의 개선

국문 초록

최근 통일교육의 큰 방향은 체제경쟁에 기초한 대 북한 체제우위의 관점에서 벗어나 남북한 평화공존을 지향하는 교육으로 나아가고 있다. 이러한 방향 설정으로 인해 통일교육은 체제와 이념 중심에서 생활과 문화 중심으로, 남북간 갈등에서 상호이해를 중심으로, 교사-학습자간 일방적 전달에서 열린 토론 중심으로 방향 전환이 이루어지고 있다. 통일교육의 방향과 초점이 전환될 때마다 매번 통일교육 방법의 개선에 대한 집요한 요구가 있어왔다. 이에 부응하고자 통일교육의 방법론을 개선하기 위한 구체적인 교수 기법이 개발되어 제시되어 왔으나 그 실효성 측면에서 여러 아쉬운 점이 있다. 이러한 논의는 새로운 학습 방법을 도입하고 있는 기업교육에로 눈을 돌리게 한다. 예컨대 전통적인 기업교육 방법에 대한 대안적 방법으로 최근, 전세계 주요 거대 기업들을 중심으로 활발히 시도되는 Action Learning(이하 액션 러닝이라함)을 들 수 있다. 액션 러닝은 21세기 디지털 시대 및 지식 사회의 효과적인 학습방법으로서 하나의 훌륭한 대안으로 부각되고 있다. 액션러닝의 가장 큰 가치는 구성원들이 실제 현장에서 직면한 문제해결 과정에 직접 참여해 봄으로써 효과적인 학습을 이룰 수 있다는 점이다. 액션 러닝의 이러한 장점을 통일 교육에 활용할 가치가 있어 보인다. 통일교육의 궁극적 목표는 학습자로 하여금 통일의지를 함양시켜 통일에 대한 바람직한 태도를 형성하고 ‘실천’하도록 하는 것이다. 이러한 통일교육의 궁극적 목표는 액션 러닝 방법이 내재하는 본질적 철학과 그 맥을 같이 하고 있는 것이다. 본 연구는 통일교육의 효과적인 교수방법으로서 액션러닝의 가능성과 적용 사례를 탐색해 보고, 주요 구성요소를 중심으로 수업 모델을 설계해 보았다. 통일교육 수업에 액션 러닝 기법을 활용함으로써, 학생들은 냉철한 대북 인식, 북한 주민에 대한 포용심과 동질감 증대 등 통일교육이 지향하는 다양한 가치들을 실천하면서 학습할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 통일문제와 북한에 대해 보다 더 흥미를 느끼고 경험하게 될 것이라 기대된다.

영문 초록

Action learning empowers young people to apply their knowledge and skills to solve problems and learn from their experience. This approach make unification education more effective by planning learning activities which use young people's experience and develop skill and understanding through their active involvement in a project. This study describes and analyses how action learning can make unification education more effective in moral subject. This study examine how action learning to encourage pupil to learn about contents of unification education in moral subject. This study argue that contents of unification education can be learnt by engaging young people in project and other activities, which encourage them to develop understanding of the unification and national security, peaceful coexistence between South and North korea. Meanwhile, this study also attempted to investigate which factors should be applied to implement the action learning method effectively in Unification education and to examine what the key factors so that they could be successive learning and operation. Pupil felt that more committed to decision they have helped to make and actions they have helped to shape in action learning. and action learning helped improve morale and classwork satisfaction because it gives them the opportunities to say about important issues affecting them. The findings from this study suggest that education for unification and the teaching of national security and peace in schools likely to be more effective if pupil are given some opportunities to use and apply the knowledge they have learned. In addition to, here are another the results. First, action learning was effective to develop an individual and team and to solve the problem of organization. Second, action learning was effective in change in team, organization, and individual.
