국문 초록

본 연구는 남북한 교육제도를 비교·분석하여 향후 통일국가시대에서의 교육통합을 위한 정책적인 시사점을 제공하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 본 연구는 첫째, 남북한의 이질적인 교육제도를 비교하는 관점에 대하여 고찰했다. 둘째, 해방이후 교육제도가 어떠한 방식으로 변화하고 발전하였는지, 또한 경쟁 시대의 교육제도는 어떠했는지 비교·분석했다. 셋째, 글로벌 시대의 남북한 교육제도를 비교·분석했다. 넷째, 종합적인 남북한 교육제도에 대해 비교·분석했다. 마지막으로 향후 남북한 교육통합에 대한 과제를 모색하고, 향후 통일국가시대의 교육제도 통합전망을 살펴봤다. 본 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 북한에 대한 인식과 통일에 대한 관심은 국가적 차원의 실천적 의지가 요구된다. 둘째, 정부는 장기적으로 통일 교육제도 통합을 이끌어 낼 수 있는 정책이 요구된다. 셋째, 연구자는 사회주의 교육이념 및 제도에 대하여 더욱 심층적인 비판과 고찰이 요구된다. 넷째, 남북한 교육제도 통합의 기본방향은 한민족의 인본주의의 근간이 요구된다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 통일국가시대에서의 교육통합을 위한 정책적인 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study provides policy implications for the integration of education in the age of reunified Korea in the future, by comparing and analyzing the education systems of South Korea and North Korea. To achieve this goal, this study firstly examined the comparative perspective for different education systems of South Korea and North Korea. Second, this study compared and analyzed how the education system after independence has changed and what the education system in the age of competition was like. Third, the education systems of South Korea and North Korea in the age of globalization were compared and analyzed. Fourth, the comprehensive education systems of South Korea and North Korea were compared and analyzed. Lastly, this study sought the perspective of education system for the age of reunified Korea in the future. The results of this study are as follows. First, the perception for North Korea and the interest in reunification requires the national practical will. Second, the government needs to provide a long-term policy to derive the integration of education system after unification. Third, researchers should have more fundamental criticism and contemplation for the educational ideology and education system of socialism. Fourth, the integration of the education systems of South Korea and North Korea should be on the basis of humanism. Based on these results, this study suggests policy implications for the integration of education in the age of reunified Korea in the future.
