한국어교육에서의 학습 동기 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국어교육 분야에서 이루어진 학습 동기 연구의 동향을 파악하고 향후 한국어 학습 동기 연구의 발전 방향과 과제를 탐색해 보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 2017년 10월까지 한국어교육 분야에서 발표된 학습동기 연구들을 수집하여 이들 연구들을 발행 연도·간행 유형별, 적용된 동기이론별, 연구 주제별, 연구 방법별로 나누어 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 한국어교육 분야에서 학습 동기 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있었으나 학습 동기 연구의 최신 연구 결과를 제대로 반영하지 못하는 게 아쉬움이 남았다. 한국어교육 분야에서는 한국어 학습자를 대상으로 학습 동기를 전반적으로 고찰하는내용은 전무하며 Dörynei의 L2동기적 자아 체계를 적용하여 한국어 학습자의동기를 살펴본 연구는 찾기 어렵다. 또한 교육 현장에서 어떻게 한국어 학습자의 학습 동기를 부여하는지, 즉 학습자의 동기 유발 전략에 대한 연구가 많이 부족하다. 그리고 연구방법별 살펴본 결과, 설문지 조사를 통한 양적 연구가 대부분이었고 모든 연구가 한 시점에서 학습자의 학습 동기를 살펴본 횡단적 연구에 국한되었다. 본 연구는 한국어교육 분야에서 발표된 학습 동기에관한 연구의 전반적인 틀을 살핌으로써 한국어 학습 동기 연구의 문제점을 밝히고 후속 연구에서 이루어져야 할 방향과 과제를 제시할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to understand the trends of the studies of the learning motivations in the area of recent Korean language education so that new directions and topics for research will be put forward for the future research on learning motivations of the Korean language. In order to accomplish this research purpose, a total of 42 research papers from 2001 to October, 2017 have been collected and categorized by the year of issuance, type of publication, theoretical basis for motivation, research topics and research methods. It is found that, the latest research results can not be fully reflected and even less research is done on the learning motivations from the perspective of Motivational Self System. As far as the topic of research is concerned, there is a lack of research on the strategies of learning motivations; research methods are limited to questionaires, and mixed methods of qualitative and quantitative methods are rare, and there is little research on the method of the changes of motivations of learners with vertical designs.
