초등 국어과 연극 단원 구성 접근 방식 제안

국문 초록

2015 개정 교육과정 국어과의 연극단원과 관련하여 제시된 성취기준은 ‘경험을 극의 형식으로 표현하기’이다. 또한 성취기준 해설은 극의 형식으로 표현하는 활동이 다른 교과 학습의 도구가 되도록 제안한다. ‘극의 형식으로 표현하기’라는 직접적 연극 체험과 다른 교과 학습의 도구로도 사용될 수 있는 조건을 만족시키기 위해, 본 연구는 성취기준이 제시하는 ‘극의 형식’에 대한 재규정이 필요함을 제기한다. 본 연구는 드라마(drama)와 씨어터(theatre)에서 서로공유하는 드라마 형식(dramatic form)을 극의 형식으로 규정할 것을 제안한다. 드라마와 씨어터를 통합하는 시도는 이미 영국과 호주에서 이루어졌으며, 호주의 경우, 드라마 형식(dramatic form)을 연극교육과정의 중요한 요소로 삼고있다. 본 연구는 연극 관련 성취기준이 제시하는 ‘극의 형식’을 ‘드라마 형식’ 으로 규정할 것을 제안하면서, 드라마 형식으로서 Haseman and O’Toole(1989, 2017)의 드라마 형식과 Davis(2014)의 드라마 형식을 비교, 분석, 종합한 9가지요소를 제안한다. 그 9가지 요소는 드라마적 상황(5W), 역할(태도, 목적과 반목적), 억제와 긴장, 언어와 움직임, 초점과 내러티브, 스토리와 플롯, 분위기, 시간, 드라마적 의미이다.

영문 초록

The attainment standard related to ‘drama/theatre’ which is suggested by 2015 revised curriculum of ‘Korean’ subject is ‘to express pupils’ experiences through ‘drama./theatre form’. Besides, the explanation of attainment standard suggests another condition：the drama/theatre form should be used as a learning tool for other subjects. In order for pupils to experience drama/theatre by way of drama/theatre form and for those forms to be employed in other subjects, this study suggest to re-define drama/theatre forms. This study offers ‘dramatic form’ as drama/theatre forms. Dramatic form is the outcome of the integration of drama and theatre and this form is already used as a main principle in Australian national curriculum of drama/theatre. This study provides nine dramatic forms which are human context, role(attitude, objective-counter objective), constraints and tension, language and movement, focus and narrative, story and plot, mood, time and dramatic meaning. These forms can be flexibly used role-play, dramatic play and improvisational drama. In the era of the integration of drama and theatre, dramatic form can be a good example to integrate both and this study hopes to bring about more discussions about the integration.
