국문 초록

읽기는 여러 가지 지향을 갖는다. 독자의 자기 이해도 읽기의 한 지향이다. 독자의 자기 이해는 자아를 규정하는 것과 관련된다. 자기 이해는 자신의 마음을 들여다보고 그 의식내용을 밝혀 인식하는 것이다. 레비나스에 따르면 사람이 자아를 인식하기 위해서는 타자가 필요하다. 타자의 인식이 자아를 의식의 표면으로 이끌어내 주기 때문이다. 독자 자아는 텍스트 타자를 만났을 때드러난다. 독자는 텍스트를 읽는 과정에서 텍스트 타자를 만나게 되고, 이때독자 자아가 발현한다. 발현된 독자 자아는 텍스트 타자와 소통하여 텍스트타자의 의식내용을 인식하게 된다. 소통의 과정에서 독자 자아는 텍스트 타자와 의식내용을 비교하게 된다. 이 비교에서 차이점이 드러나면서 독자 자아는자신은 어떻게 해야 하는지 의문을 갖게 된다. 이 의문에 대한 답을 텍스트 타자와 소통하면서 얻게 된다. 독자 자아는 텍스트 타자의 답을 이용하여 자아를 규정할 수 있게 된다. 레비나스의 타자 철학의 논리에서 보면 독자 자아의규정은 텍스트 타자에서 비롯되는 것이다. 텍스트 타자와의 소통에 기초한 자기 이해를 위한 읽기 연구는 아직 구체화되지 못한 면이 많다. 이에 대한 적극적인 논의가 필요하다.

영문 초록

Reading is done for several purposes. Self-understanding of readers is also one purpose of reading. The self-understanding of the reader is related to defining the self. According to Levinas, people need others to know their selves. It is because the recognition of the other leads the self to the surface of consciousness. The reader-self is revealed when you meet a text-other. When the reader reads a text, he meets a text-other, and then the self is recognized. The perceived self speaks to the text-other, and the text reader informs his consciousness. The perceived self speaks to the text-other, and the text-other informs the reader self of the contents of his consciousness. The communication between the reader-self and the text-other occurs. Through this communication, the reader-self identifies and defines the content of consciousness. The reader-self compares the contents of consciousness while communicating with the text-other. The difference in this comparison reveals that the reader-self has a question of what to do. The answer to this question comes from communicating with the text-other. The reader-self will be able to define the self using the answer of the text-other.
