상담자가 지각한 내담자의 호소문제 명확성이 상담자의 상담만족도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

연구는 상담자가 정의한 내담자의 호소문제의 명확성과 상담자 상담만족도의 관계에서 상담목표 설정의 구체성과 상담자의 몰입의 매개효과를 확인하기 위해 시도되었다. 이를 위해 경기도 지역의 초․중․고등학교 및 지역 상담 기관에 종사하는 상담자 473명을 대상으로 자기 보고식 온라인 설문조사 방식으로 호소문제명확성, 상담자 만족도, 상담목표구체성과 상담자몰입의 자료를 수집하였고, SPSS V22.0과 AMOS 18.0 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 내담자의 호소문제 명확성은 상담만족도, 상담목표구체성과 상담자몰입에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘재, 목표설정의 구체성과 상담자의 상담몰입이 상담만족도에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 호소문제의 명확성과 상담자의 상담만족도 관계에서 상담자의 목표설정 구체성과 상담자의 몰입은 각각 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 상담자가 내담자의 호소문제를 명확하게 정의할수록 상담목표가 구체적으로 설정되고, 상담자의 상담몰입이 증가하면서 상담자가 만족스러운 상담 결과를 얻어내게 될 것임을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effects of counseling goal specificity and the counselor’s level of immersion on the relationship between the clarity of a client’s problem and counseling satisfaction as perceived by the counselor. For this purpose, data on counseling goal specificity, counselor’s level or immersion, clarity of a client’s problem and counseling satisfaction were collected from 473 counselors working at either elementary, middle, and high schools or local counseling centers in Gyeonggi Province upon which correlation and regression analyses were performed via SPSS V22.0 and AMOS 18.0. The main results are summarized as follows. First, counselor-perceived client's problem clarity was correlated with goal specificity, a counselor’s level of immersion, and counseling satisfaction. Second, goal specificity and counselor’s level of immersion were correlated with counseling satisfaction. Third, the specificity of counseling goals and a counselor's level of immersion mediated the relationship between a counselor-perceived client's problem clarity and counselor-rated counseling satisfaction. These results indicate that the more a counselor clearly defines a client’s problem, the more specific the counseling goal becomes, leading to a deeper counselor immersion and resulting in an enhanced counseling experience for the counselor.
