쌍감(双减)정책이 중국의 영어교육 플랫폼에 미친 영향에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 첫째, 중국의 온라인 교육 시장 진출 모색을 위해 중국내 온라인 영어교육 플랫폼 현황을 살펴보고, 둘째, 시진핑 정부의 ‘쌍감’ 정책 중 사교육 정책 시행 배경과 내용 및 추가 관련 정책을 면밀히 검토해 보았으며, 셋째, 관련 정책 시행 후 온라인 영어 교육 기업에 어떤 영향과 변화가 있었는지 구체적으로 분석해 보았다. 분석의 결과 정책 시행 후 중국 온라인 교육서비스 기업들은 운영에 있어 중국 당국의 엄격한 통제를 받았으나, 이것이 기업에게 부정적인 영향만 준 것은 아니며 더욱 세분화된 시장 안에서 다양한 대상과 규정에 맞는 콘텐츠로 운영한다면 기회의 요인이 될 수 있을 것임이 확인되었다. 본 연구의 분석 내용과 시사점들은 향후 우리나라 온라인 교육 서비스 기업의 중국 진출 및 경쟁에 있어 일조할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

China is a huge market with a population of 1.4 billion, and the size of the education market is also very large. In this regard, this study identified the current status of online English education platforms in China's education market, and carefully reviewed the background and contents of the implementation of the so-called ‘Double Reduction’ policy by Xi-Jinping. And after the implementation of the related policies, what changes have occurred in the online English education market and the relevant industry were analyzed in detail. Compared to the growth potential of the Chinese education market, it is confirmed that the accumulation of analysis and research on changes in the online education service industry after the ‘Double Reduction’ policy, which is the subject of this study, is still insignificant in Korea. The related studies in China also focus on how to change education in schools after the ‘Double Reduction’ policy rather than the impact on the online education service industry. In this study, it has been confirmed that even though Chinese online education service companies were strictly controlled by the Chinese authorities after the implementation of the 'Double Reduction' policy by the Chinese government, but this did not only have a negative impact on companies, and it can be a factor of opportunity if it is well managed in a proper way. Therefore, it is expected that the implications of this study will be able to contribute to the advancement and competition of online education service companies into China in the future.
