국문 초록

이른바 니체의 ‘에케 호모(Ecce Homo)’는 자기를 구성하고 자신만의 색깔을 담고 있는 니체의 자서전이다. 그래서 ‘에케 호모는 그 스스로 쓴 니체철학 입문 서라고 볼 수 있다. 왜냐하면 니체가 사용하고 있는 이 ‘에케 호모’는 자신의 철 학적 통찰을 시간의 배열에 따라 자신만의 언어로 자신의 역사를 기록해 모아 놓은 책이기 때문이다. 사실 니체는 ‘에케 호모’를 어떤 철학적 증명을 위해 사용 하고 있지 않다. 오히려 그는 자화상이라는 미술작품으로써 작가 자신의 분신이 자 자아의 대체물로 ‘에케 호모’를 간주하고 있다. 이를 위해서 논자는 다음 두 논제를 주장하고자 한다. 첫째, 니체의 자기 글쓰 기로서의 ‘자서전’과 예술의 언어인 ‘자화상’이 하나의 메타포로 작용하고 있다는 점을 강조한다. 둘째, 앞선 명제의 진정한 설명은 추론적인 것으로, 논자는 이 설 명에 따른 비유적 관계 설명을 헤세의 소설 클링조어의 마지막 여름(Klingsors Letzter Sommer)(1920)에서 그 추론적 관계들을 유추해 보고자 한다. 그래서 논 자는 헤세가 니체로부터 수용한 ‘에케 호모’라고 부르고 있는 의미를 채택하고 또한 이를 증명해 보임으로써 위의 두 논제를 설명하고자 한다. 헤세는 니체의 ‘에케 호모’를 수용하여 자화상을 ‘철학적 자기 탐구’를 시도한다. 헤세는 니체처 럼 자신을 괴롭히는 뱀을 물어뜯고 긍정하는 웃는 자로의 변화, 즉 ‘네 얼굴’ 그 리고 ‘네 얼굴에 노니는 웃음’이 청명한 꽃들 속에 춤추고 있듯이 생동하는 새로운 자상화를 그려낸다. 그리고 실제로 헤세는 화가로 거듭 태어나서 ‘에케 호모’ 로서 ‘변화된 자’, 즉 자유정신으로서 ‘웃고 있는 자’로 변화한다.

영문 초록

Nietzsche’s so-called ‘Ecce Homo’ is Nietzsche’s autobiography that constitutes himself and contains his own colors. Thus, ‘Ecce Homo’ can be seen as an introduction to Nietzsche’s philosophy that he wrote himself. This is because this ‘Ecce Homo’ that Nietzsche is using is a book in which his philosophical insights are recorded in his own language in his own language according to the arrangement of time. In fact, Nietzsche does not use ‘Ecce Homo’ for any philosophical proof. Rather, as a work of art called a self-portrait, he regards ‘Ecce Homo’ as an alter ego and an alter ego of the artist himself. To this end, the author intends to assert the following two thesis. First, it is emphasized that Nietzsche’s ‘autobiography’ as self-written writing and ‘self-portrait’, the language of art, act as a metaphor. Second, the true explanation of the preceding proposition is speculative, and the author intends to infer the inferential relation in Hesse’s novel Klingsors Letzter Sommer (1920) for the explanation of the figurative relationship according to this explanation. Therefore, the author attempts to explain the above two themes by adopting the meaning of what Hesse calls ‘Ecce Homo’, which he adopted from Nietzsche, and by proving it. Hesse accepts Nietzsche’s ‘Ecce Homo’ and attempts to ‘philosophical self-exploration’ of self-portraits. Hesse, like Nietzsche, draws a new self-portrait that comes alive as if the change into a smiling person who bites and affirms the snake that orments him, that is, ‘your face’ and ‘the smile that plays on your face’ is dancing in the clear flowers. And in reality, Hesse is reborn as an artist and changes into a ‘transformed person’ as an ‘Ecce Homo’, that is, into a ‘smiling person’ as a free spirit.
