국문 초록

니체는 그의 대표작 중 하나로 평가되는 『선악의 저편』을 통해 철학적 사유 의 동근원성을 제시한다. 이것은 서로 독립적으로 보이는 사유들도 결국 철학함 의 가능성이라는 측면에서는 보이지 않는 힘에 사로잡혀 유사한 궤도로 달리고 있다는 것을 의미한다. 우리는 이와 같은 사유의 가족 유사성을 쇼펜하우어와 니체의 사유를 통해 확인할 수 있다. 주지하는 바와 같이, 쇼펜하우어와 니체의 사유는 밀접하게 연결되어 있다. 이것은 흔히 니체가 쇼펜하우어의 개념과 용어 를 차용하고 있다는 점에서 쉽게 유추할 수 있는 사실이다. 그러나 니체의 사유 속 쇼펜하우어의 흔적은 때로는 온전한 형태로 우리에게 모습을 드러내기도 하 지만 때로는 은폐되고 변형된 모습으로 은닉되어 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 우리 는 니체를 단순한 쇼펜하우어의 계승자로 정의하지 않는다. 이것은 니체가 핵심 적인 사유에서 쇼펜하우어의 사유와 일정한 거리감을 유지하고 있기 때문이다. 즉, 니체는 자신의 저서 곳곳에서 자신만의 독창적인 사유의 지평을 제공하고자 한다. 특히 쇼펜하우어와 니체의 이런 이중적인 관계는 예술론의 영역에서 두드 러진다. 쇼펜하우어와 니체에게 예술은 각자가 지향하는 삶의 방향성을 제시해 주는 일종의 이정표이다. 물론 쇼펜하우어와 니체는 모두 예술을 고통과 밀접한 관련성 속에서 해석한다. 이것은 쇼펜하우어와 니체에게 삶이 언제나 고통의 노정이기 때문이다. 쇼펜하우어와 니체의 관점에서 만약 인간의 삶이 그 자체로 고통 없이 아름답다고 한다면 예술의 존재목적은 사라질 것이다. 그러나 고통을 대하는 쇼펜하우어와 니체의 문제의식은 서로 다르다. 쇼펜하우어에게 고통은 대부분의 인식주체에게 무의미하게 존재하는 것이며, 극복의 대상으로 규정되 는 것이다. 이와 달리 니체에게 고통은 오히려 삶을 위한 필수요소이자, 오직 인 간의 삶에서 존재의미를 가질 수 있는 것이다. 그리고 고통에 대한 이러한 시선 의 차이는 양자의 몸 개념에 대한 정의를 통해 더욱 두드러진다. 쇼펜하우어에 게 몸은 더 이상 전통형이상학과 같이 인간의 이성적 능력으로부터 규제되거나, 이성적 능력 보다 열등한 것으로 규정되지 않는다. 그럼에도 불구하고 쇼펜하우 어는 몸을 예술에 대한 방해물로 정의한다. 하지만 니체에게 몸은 오히려 전통 적인 이성적 능력을 포괄하는 개념일 뿐만 아니라, 예술충동의 근원이다.

영문 초록

Schopenhauer and Nietzsche's reasons are closely linked to family similarities. Of course, this relationship between Schopenhauer and Nietzsche is hard to define as a simple successor. This is because Nietzsche maintains a constant distance from Schopenhauer in its interpretation of key concepts. In other words, Nietzsche uses Schopenhauer's original art philosophy as the foundation. Therefore, for Nietzsche, traces of Schopenhauer sometimes appear to us in intact form, but sometimes in hidden and modified form. This relationship between Schopenhauer and Nietzsche is particularly prominent in the realm of art theory. This stems from the fact that Schopenhauer and Nietzsche not only use similar concepts and terms, but also define art as a milestone for the existential life that each defines. Life is always a pain point for Schopenhauer and Nietzsche. From the point of view of Schopenhauer and Nietzsche, if life is beautiful in itself to humans, the meaning of art's existence will probably disappear. Therefore, both Schopenhauer and Nietzsche interpret art in a close connection to pain. Of course, the two thinkers' responses to pain are completely contradictory. For Schopenhauer, pain is something to escape and overcome. For Nietzsche, on the other hand, pain is rather an essential part of life. And these conflicting views of pain lead to the existence of different art objects. In other words, for two thinkers, art is a milestone that defines the relationship between pain and life. In addition, for the two thinkers, the body is discussed in a close connection with art. For Schopenhauer, the body is no longer regulated or defined as inferior to human rational ability, such as traditional metaphysics. Nevertheless, in Schopenhauer's art theory, the body is defined as an obstacle for art. However, Nietzsche argues that active positivity to the body is art.
