민주화 이후 한국 진보․보수의 이념적․정치적 경쟁의 특성

국문 초록

본 연구는 민주화 이후 한국진보-보수의 이념적, 정치적 경쟁의 특성을 진보 헤게모니의 구축, 진보테제의 형성․전개의 맥락에서 비판적으로 분석한다. 이를 위해, 먼저 본 논문은 김대중 정부 이후 한국의 이념적, 정치적 헤게모니를 구축한 진보테제의 내용을 통일지상주의, 민족우선주의, 자주이데올로기로 정리하고 이를 비판적으로 평가했다. 둘째, 이 진보테제는 이명박, 박근혜의 보수정부에 들어서 패권적 이념이아니라 보수권력의 자유민주주의체제론, 중등 국사 교과서 국정화에 대한 저항이념으로 전환되었음을 논증하였다. 셋째, 이러한 민주적 한국사회에서의 이념적, 정치적 경쟁의 파괴적 특성을 ‘근본주의적 대립성’ 을 규정하고 이를 극복하기 위한 대안으로 ‘자유주의적 공화주의’의 활성화를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This Research aims to analyze critically the ideo-political competition patterns between the Conservatives and the Progressives after the Korean democratization. For this purpose of research, we firstly paid much attention to the formation of ideological hegemony of the Progressives, and evaluated the Progressive Thesis formulated in following three ideological contents; Supreme value on Unification, Supremacy of Nationalism, Independence Ideology. Secondly, this research evaluated the intellectual sociological context of the their ideo-political positional reversing. Recent disputes on Middle and High school National History textbook reveals this reversed ideological hegemony. Thirdly, this paper proposes the necessity of overcoming the fundamentalistic schism between two ideological groups by the reflective discussion for the vitalization of Liberal Republicanism in Korean Politics.
