중국 국내신용장거래에서 은행의 서류심사관행에 관한 실태분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 중국은행들의 국내 신용장거래에서 서류심사 기준 및 서류심사 관행에 대한 실태를 분석하고자 설문조사하여 기업이나 은행원들에게 시사점을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 분석한 주요 내용은 은행의 서류심사기준 및 서류심사 소요기간, 불일치 서류 및 불일치 서류의 처리방법, 불일치 서류를 제시한 기업의 유형 및 신용장 거래규모에 따른 차이, 불일치 서류를 제시한 기업의 업종별 비율 등을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 은행이 서류심사 시에 신용장 조건 이외에도 서류심사규칙, 국내법규, 은행의 관행 등을 반영하여 심사하고 있었으며, 독립추상성을 잘 반영하지 않고 계약서나 현장을 찾아 확인하는 관행이 있었다. 수익자가 제시한 불일치 서류는 신용장의 유효기간 및 송장기재 내용에 관한 것이 많은 것으로 나타났으며 불일치 서류의 처리도 매입은행이 안전하고 간편한 조회후 매입, 추심후 매입을 많이 이용하고 있었다. 불일치 서류를 제시한 기업은 대개 중소기업이 대기업에 비해 많았으며 거래금액이 작을수록 대체로 많이 발생하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose : This study suggested practical implications to trade companies and bankers by conducting a survey to analyze the documents examination standards and practices in domestic letter of credit transactions of Chinese banks. Research design, data and methodology : Data collection was conducted by face to face and online surveys of Chinese bank employees in charge of letters of credit working at their headquarters. For the data analysis, frequency analysis and multiple response analysis were performed by SPSS 26.0 program. Results : As a result of the analysis, significant results were found in document examination, contents of discrepancy documents, handling method of inconsistent documents, the size of the company that presented inconsistent documents, and the transaction amount of the letter of credit. Conclusions : The author expects that this study can use the letter of credit smoothly by understanding the document examination practices of domestic letters of credit in China, and reduce the risk of payment in domestic letter of credit transactions by reducing the inconsistency of the presented documents.
