일제강점기 국내 항일독립운동 연구성과와 과제

국문 초록

이 글은 ≪한국근현대사연구≫에 수록된 논문 중 일제강점기 국내 항일독립운동 연구 분야를 대상으로 성과와 과제를 분석한 것이다. 제98호(2021)까지총 82편을 선별하여 발간 시기별, 연구 시대별, 연구 주제별 동향과 연구성과및 과제를 살펴보았다. 발간 시기별 동향은 2001~2005년 사이 연구성과가 집중되는 특징이 있다. 이후 게재 편수가 줄었고, 2016년부터 다시 증가하기 시작했다. 의미 있는 성과로 학회지 발간 이후 신진연구자들이 등장하여 국내 독립운동사 연구의 진작을 이끌었다. 연구 시대별 동향은 1920년대 관련 연구가 집중되는 현상이 있다. 분석대상 82편 중 39편(47.55% )이 1920년대 연구로 절반에 가까운 성과를보였다. 연구 주제별로는 단제·조직, 운동, 사상·이념, 인물, 공간, 기록·기억·기념과 관련하여 28개에 달하는 주제가 다루어져 연구시각의 다양성을 보여주고 있다. 연구성과는 첫째, 신간회와 광복회 및 기타 비밀결사의 조직과 성격, 인적구성 등에 대해 밝혀지면서 관련 연구를 심화시켰다. 둘째, 3·1운동과 파리장서, 학생운동, 농민조합운동, 임시정부 수립 운동, 천도교 분파에 대한 연구가민족운동 차원에서 진행되었다. 셋째, 사회주의사상과 민족개조론, 민족운동론· 불교개혁론 및 정세인식론이 비교·연구되면서 사상과 이념 연구가 심화되었다. 넷째, 안재홍, 윤봉길, 이육사 등 다수의 인물에 대해 생애와 사상, 활동상이 입체적으로 규명되었다. 다섯째, 독립운동 공간과 문화유산 및 문화재, 감옥에 대한연구가 시도되면서 독립운동사 연구가 다변화 되었다. 여섯째, 기록·기억·기념에 관한 기획연구로 현재적 관점의 독립운동사 연구가 제기되면서 연구 대상의확장성을 보여준다. 이러한 성과로 ≪한국근현대사연구≫는 그간 조명되지 않았던 독립운동의 제 양상을 밝히고 일제강점기 항일독립운동 연구를 심화하여학계에 기여하고 있다. 과제와 전망으로 사회주의와 공산주의 계열 연구의 활성화, 지방과 지역사에대한 관심이 필요하다. 이를 수행할 연구 인력도 감소하고 있어 연구자 양성이필요한 시점이다. 한편, ≪한국근현대사연구≫의 연구성과 진작을 위해서는 학회차원에서 국제적 학술지를 지향해야 하며, 객관적 평가 기준을 높이기 위해‘학술지 영향력 지수(Im pact Factor)’ 강화에 대한 관심이 필요하다. 또한 가상공간 플랫폼을 활용해 학술교류의 장을 온라인으로도 넓혀 나가야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The current study selected 82 theses on independence movement in Korea that took place between the 1910s and the 1940s, found on ≪Journal of Korean Modern and Contemporary History≫ to analyze the trends and achievements by time of publication, time of study, and topic. The trends by time of publication showed that the study achievements were concentrated between 2001 and 2005. New researchers emerged over time to haul significant achievements for the study of independence movement in Korea. By time of study, the studies were concentrated in 1920. Thirty-nine theses out of 82 (47.55%) were published then. By topic, there were nearly 28 topics on groups/organizations, movement, ideologies/logic, characters, space/prison, and records/memories/commemoration. This shows the diversity of ≪Journal of Korean Modern and Contemporary History≫. The achievements by topic indicate the expandability of studies on the history of independence movement to in-depth studies on groups and organizations, analysis of independence movement as national movement, tracing the transition of ideologies and awareness, and diversification of topics. ≪Journal of Korean Modern and Contemporary History≫ has contributed to the academic sector by discovering the hidden aspects of independence movement and intensifying the studies on the independence movement during the Japanese Imperial Rule. For challenges and prospects, we need to revitalize the studies on socialism and communism and pay attention to the history of local areas. It is also necessary to nurture researchers as the number of researchers are decreasing. ≪Journal of Korean Modern and Contemporary History≫ needs to pursue international journals in order to achieve qualitative improvement and pay attention to increasing the impact factor of journal to enhance the standards of objective evaluation. Also, it is desirable to expand the ground of academic exchanges using the virtual platform.
