국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구는 초등학교 특수학급과 통합학급 교사의 장애학생 인권교육 관련 경험과 인식 내용을 밝히고, 이를 바탕으로 통합교육 상황에서 장애학생 인권교육을 위한 실천적, 정책적 시사점을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 장애학생 인권교육 경험 및 관심이 많은 특수교사 10명, 일반교사 10명에게 개별심층면담을 실시하였고, 면담 전사자료를 연속적 비교분석법으로 분석하였다. 자료 분석 결과, 4개의 범주, 8개의 주제와 34개의 하위 주제를 도출하였다. 연구결과: 4개의 범주는 ‘장애학생 인권교육의 의미와 목적’, ‘장애학생 인권교육의 실태와 필요성’, ‘장애학생 인권교육의 방법’, ‘장애학생 인권교육의 지원방안’이었다. 이에 따른 8개의 주제는 ‘장애학생 인권교육의 의미’, ‘장애학생 인권교육의 목적’, ‘근무학교의 장애학생 인권존중 실태’, ‘장애학생 인권교육의 필요성’, ‘장애학생 인권교육의 효과적인 실천 원칙’, ‘장애학생 인권교육의 구체적인 실천 방법’, ‘단위학교 수준의 장애학생 인권교육 개선방안’, ‘국가와 교육청 수준의 장애학생 인권교육 지원체계 구축’으로 분류되었다. 결론: 연구 결과를 토대로 장애학생 인권존중과 인권교육을 위한 실천적, 정책적 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate both experiences and perceptions of special and general education teachers on human rights education for students with disabilities to make practical and policy suggestions to conduct human rights education for students with disabilities in elementary schools. Method: In-depth interviews were conducted with 20 teachers who had experienced human rights education for students with disabilities. The interview transcription data were analyzed using a continuous comparative analysis. As a result of the data analysis, 34 sub-themes, eight themes, and four categories were derived. Results: Four themes were identified. ‘the meaning and purpose of human rights education for students with disabilities’, ‘the actual situation and need for human rights education for students with disabilities’, ‘the method of human rights education for students with disabilities’, ‘a support plan of human rights education for students with disabilities’. Eight sub-themes included, ‘the meaning of human rights education for students with disabilities’, ‘the purpose of human rights education for students with disabilities’, ‘Respect of the human rights for students with disabilities in working school’, ‘Necessity of human rights education for students with disabilities’, ‘Effective principles of practice’, ‘Methods of specific practice’, ‘Measures to improve human rights education for students with disabilities at the school level’, ‘Establishment of a human rights education support system for students with disabilities at the national and local level’. Conclusion: Based on the analysis, practical and policy implications were suggested to respect the human rights of students with disabilities and conduct human rights education for students with disabilities in elementary schools.
