국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구는 중증장애인의 고용 활성화를 위한 대안적인 접근 방안 중 하나로 맞춤고용 지원 체계 구축 방안에 대해 탐색하였다. 연구방법: 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 맞춤고용을 다룬 기존 연구 결과를 종합하여 미국의 직업교육 및 기회향상법 개정으로 등장한 맞춤고용의 개념에 대해 살펴보고, 맞춤고용의 접근 전략, 특징, 성과 및 전문가의 역할 등에 대해 살펴보았다. 연구결과: 맞춤고용은 전통적 직업재활 모델 또는 지원고용에서 강조해 왔던 고용주의 입장보다 중증장애인의 입장과 요구를 반영하고 있고, 중증장애인의 선호 직무와 고용주의 직무 요구를 종합적으로 고려하여 중증장애인의 취업 준비에서부터 직업 유지에 이르는 전반의 과정을 체계적으로 제공하기 위한 일반 고용 기반의 통합적 고용 지원 전략인 것으로 확인되었다. 결론: 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 개인별 맞춤고용 지원 체계 구축 방안, 지역사회 인프라 구축 방안, 학교 및 지역사회 차원의 지원 방안으로 각각 구분하여 맞춤고용의 국내 활용 방안을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study explored the establishment of a customized employment support system as one of the alternative approaches to revitalize the employment of people with severe disabilities. Method: In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the concept of customized employment that emerged as a result of the revision of the Vocational Education and Opportunity Improvement Act in the United States was reviewed by synthesizing existing research results on customized employment. Also, the approach strategy, characteristics, performance, and the role of experts in customized employment were reviewed. Results: Customized employment reflected the position and needs of the people with severe disabilities rather than the position of the employer, which has been emphasized in the traditional vocational rehabilitation model or supported employment, and prepared for the employment of people with severe disabilities by comprehensively considering the preferred job of the people with disabilities and the job demands of the employer. It was confirmed that it was an integrated employment support strategy based on general employment to systematically provide the overall process from job retention to job retention. Conclusion: Based on these results, a plan to utilize customized employment in The Republic of Korea was proposed by dividing each individual into an individually customized employment support system establishment method, community infrastructure establishment method, and a school and community level support method.
