京都八景詩의 창작과 한양 도성의 형상화

국문 초록

본 논문은 한양 도성의 경관을 소재로 창작된 李德壽, 吳光運, 洪世泰의 京都八景詩를 고찰한 글이다. 한양 도성을 소재로 창작된 詩의 완결된 형태라 할 수 있는 城市全圖詩가 창작되기 이전 시기에는 한양의 경관은 八景詩의 형식에 담아내었는데, 李德壽, 吳光運, 洪世泰의 京都八景詩가 바로 그러한 부류에 속한다. 한양 도성의 八景을 소재로 지은 京都八景詩는 조선 초기부터 창작되었으며, 그 형식은 시기에 따라 6言 4句 → 巫山一段雲體 → 7언 율시로 변화를 거듭하였다. 八景의 소재 역시 조선 중기에 한 차례 변화가 있었지만, 본고에서 살펴본 李德壽, 吳光運, 洪世泰의 京都八景詩에서 소재로 삼은 八景은 애초 鄭道傳이 창작한 新都八景詩의 八景과 동일한 소재로 창작되었다. 그러나 7언 율시의 형식으로 창작되면서 시에 담아낼 수 있는 한양 도성의 경관은 더욱 편폭이 넓어졌다. 특히 1724년에 月課로 출제되어 창작된 李德壽, 吳光運, 洪世泰의 京都八景詩에서는 당시 한양 도성 八景의 구체적인 모습과 함께 각각의 작가들이 표현하고자 했던 한양 도성의 진면목과 그 차이점을 구체적으로 엿볼 수 있다. 李德壽, 吳光運, 洪世泰의 京都八景詩는 조선 초기부터 창작된 京都八景詩의 전통과 그 성격을 계승하여 月課로 창작된 대표적인 작품이라 할 수 있다. 또 18세기 조선 후기 한양의 全景을 형상화한 正祖代 城市全圖詩의 창작에 많은 영향을 미쳤던 점에서 본다면 조선 후기 한양 도성을 형상화한 詩의 부류에서 적지 않은 의미를 지니는 작품이다.

영문 초록

This study examines the poems themed on Hanyang City Wall by Lee Duksu, Lee Gwangwoon, and Hong Saetae. Before the creation of [Seongsijeongdo Poem], which is the completed form of poem on Hanyang City Wall, the landscapes of Hanyang were described in the forms of landscape poems and the poems by themed on Hanyang City Wall by Lee Duksu, Lee Gwangwoon, and Hong Saetae were part of them. The poems themed on 8 landscapes of Hanyang City Wall were created starting from the early Joseon Dynasty and the forms repeatedly changed from the 6 Character-6 Line Style à Wushan Yiduanyun Style à 7 Character Style Chinese Verse. While theme of 8 landscapes changed once in the middle of Joseon Dynasty, the landscapes described in the poems by Lee Duksu, Lee Gwangwoon, and Hong Saetae were the same as the landscapes described in [Sindopalgyeong Peom] by Jeong Dojeon. As the style of poem changed to the format of 7 character style Chinese verse, the more landscapes of Hanyang City Wall landscapes could be described in the poems. Especially, the poems by Lee Duksu, Lee Gwangwoon, and Hong Saetae submitted to the monthly test (月課) in 1724 described 8 landscapes of Hanyang City Wall in details and depicted the true worth and difference of the Hanyang City Wall that each poet tried to express. The poems by Lee Duksu, Lee Gwangwoon, and Hong Saetae were written and submitted for the monthly test by succeeding to the tradition and characteristics of landscape poems created starting from early Joseon Dynasty. In addition, the poems had a huge impact on creation of [Sungsijeondo Poem] which figured the landscape of Hanyang during the late Joseon Dynasty in 18th century during years of King Jeongjo. Considering such points, the poems themed on Hanyang City Wall by Lee Duksu, Lee Gwangwoon, and Hong Saetae hold significant value on the poems themed on Hanyang City Wall during late Joseon Dynasty.
