국문 초록

인성교육의 필요성이 사회적으로 대두됨에 따라 인성교육의 내용 및 방법에 대한 연구가 필요한 시점이다. 2015년 인성교육진흥법 제정 이래로 인성교육의 중요성은 지속적으로 강조되어 왔다. 이제 인성교육의 내용과 방법에 있어서 구체성과 학문성의 보강이 그 어느 때보다도 절실히 요구된다. 청소년들은 입시 위주의 환경에서 학교 폭력 및 자살 위험에 노출되어 있으며, 최근 ‘N번방 사건’과 같은 충격적인 사건은 오늘날 제도권 교육에서 인성교육의 필요성을 다시금 절감하도록 만든다. 더욱 심각한 것은 이 사건을 주도한 인물들이 20대의 젊은 청년들이라는 점이다. 왜 그들은 공동체의 일원이자 무한한 가능성을 지닌 청년으로, 건강한 사회인으로 성장할 수 없었던 것일까? 구체적이고 실질적으로 한 개인의 인격적 성장을 도울 수 있는 인성교육의 내용이 시급하게 마련되어야 할 때이다. 이러한 문제의식을 토대로 본 논문에서는 청년 및 청소년을 위한 인성교육의 구체적 내용과 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 교수자가 대학강의에서 진행했던 소규모 대화식 수업의 사례를 분석하고, 대화식 수업을 활용한 참여자 중심 인성교육 프로그램을 제안하고자 한다.

영문 초록

As the need for personality education is rising at the society level, it is the time to conduct research on the content and methods of personality education. Since the enactment of Character Education Promotion Act in 2015, the importance of personality education has been highlighted at multiple angles. Today there is more urgent need than ever to reinforce the content and methods of personality education in specific and academic nature. Adolescents are exposed to school violence and risk of suicide in the educational environment focused on the college entrance exam. Shocking events such as the recent Room No. N Events make people feel keenly the need for personality education within the current institution of education. What is more shocking with the events is that the ring leaders are young adults in their twenties. Why did they fail to grow into young adults and healthy members of community and society with infinite possibilities? It is urgent to create the content of personality education to provide an individual with specific and practical assistance for his or her personality growth instead of the old personality education that has remained unchanged. Based on this problematic consciousness, this study set out to propose specific content and methods for personality education for young adults and adolescents. For this purpose, the investigator analyzed the cases of small-group conversation-style lessons in her college lectures and proposed a participant-centric personality education program using conversation-style lessons.
