유아교사의 다문화 연수경험 및 해외 체류경험이 다문화 교수 역량에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사들이 자신의 다문화 교수 역량을 어떻게 평가하고 있는지 확인하고 유아교사의 다문화 연수경험과 해외 체류경험이 다문화 교수 역량에 미치는 영향을 살펴봄으로써 유아교사의 다문화 교수 역량 증진을 위한 방안 마련 및 다문화 교사교육 프로그램 개발 연구 등에 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구대상은 부산광역시와 경남에 위치한 유치원 및 어린이집의 만4·5세반 담임교사 70명을 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 유아교사의 다문화 교수 역량 중 정의적 역량이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 유아교사의 다문화 연수경험, 해외 체류경험에 따라 다문화 교수 역량 수준에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다만, 다문화 연수경험과 해외 체류경험 간의 상호작용효과는 없는 것으로 나타났으나, 유아교사의 다문화 연수경험, 해외 체류경험이 유아교사의 다문화 교수 역량에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 유아교사의 다문화 교수 역량이 다문화교육 실시수준에도 유의미한 영향(+)을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 하위 역량 중 정의적 역량이 다문화교육 실시수준에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to determine how early childhood teachers are evaluation their multicultural teaching capabilities, and to provide the basic data for preparing a plan for promoting multicultural teaching competency and developing a multicultural teacher education program by examining the effects of early childhood teacher s multicultural training experience and overseas staying experience on multicultural teaching capabilities. To attain the goal, this study was conducted an analysis of 70 Early Childhood Teachers in Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do. The results were analyzed to gain detailed conclusions as follows: First, Early Childhood Teachers held the perception that they already had most of Multicultural Teaching Competency. In affective competency, the average scores were high in all of the competencies, compared to functional and cognitive competency. Second, we found that Multicultural Teaching Competency is higher in case of having experience of multicultural training, high level of applying a multicultural education and experience of living aborad. Also, experience of multicultural training and living abroad of teachers have not interaction effects on Multicultural Teaching Competency. Third, it shows that the Multicultural Teaching Competency level of early childhood teachers is high as having experience of multicultural training, high level of applying a multicultural education and experience of living aborad. Fourth, the Multicultural Teaching Competency of early childhood teacher has significant direct influence on the level of applying a multicultural education.
