국문 초록

본고는 朝鮮 太祖에서 燕山君 代에까지 지어진 백제 회고시의 현황과 내용을 분석하고, 그 특징을 살펴보아서 백제사를 이해하는 지평의 폭을 넓히고자 하였다. 백제의 역사는 패망한 역사이기 때문에 후인들의 기록이 매우 소략하다. 고려시대 지어진 백제사에 대한 회고시는 閔思平의 ｢扶餘懷古｣시 1수 외에 3수가 더 있을 뿐이다. 조선 초기에 지어진 백제사에 대한 회고의 정서가 담겨진 시는 李石亨의 ｢次扶餘東軒稼亭韻｣ 1수 외에 徐居正 2수, 李承召 8수, 崔淑精 1수 등이 있다. 또한 金訢의 ｢洛花巖｣ 1수 외에 南孝溫 22수, 曺偉 2수 등 모두 8명의 작가에 의한 15題 38首의 시가 있다. 조선 초기에 지어진 백제사에 대한 회고시는 서거정과 같은 훈구문인들은 단순히 空賖의 감정만 들어낸 반면 성종조에 새롭게 등장한 신진사류들은 백제사의 회고를 통해 鑑戒의 정서를 드러내고 있다. 이는 역사를 단순히 지나간 일을 기록한다는 차원에서 벗어나 현재를 돌아보고, 나아가 다가올 시대에도 어떻게 정도를 걸어야 하는지를 보여주고자 한 것이다. 또한 成忠과 같은 충신들의 충절에 대한 동일시와 간신배에 대한 혐오감을 동시에 표현함으로써 자신의 節義意識과 현실의 不義에 항거하려는 의지를 형상화한 것이다. 조선 초기에 지어진 백제 회고시는 鮮初가 가지는 정치적, 사상적 특수성으로 인해 다양한 양상으로 나타난다. 이러한 특징적 양상은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 백제사를 바라보는 시각이 부정에서 긍정의 싹이 보이기 시작한다는 점이다. 둘째, 백제사를 백제의 마지막 왕인 의자왕 대에서 백제 부흥운동에까지 확대하고 있다. 셋째, 역사를 바라보는 시각이 단순히 과거사에 대한 弔喪에서 鑑戒로 변화한다. 넷째, 선초의 백제 회고시에 등장하는 충신은 문신인 成忠만 주로 등장한다. 이는 백제 회고시를 쓴 사람들이 모두 문인으로 성충과 같이 임금에게 直言을 할 수 있는 충신이 바로 자신이라고 同一視 한 것이다. 앞으로의 연구 과제로는 사상적으로 동일하게 무장한 조선 중기 이후의 문인들이 백제사를 어떻게 형상화하였으며, 이후 실학파 문인들이 어떻게 이를 형상화하였는가를 추적하여 백제 회고시의 총체적인 면을 확인하는 것은 후일의 과제로 남긴다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to widen the understanding on the history of Baikje by analyzing the status and characteristics of reminiscent poems on Baikje from the reign of King Taejo to Yeonsangun in Chosun. As Baikje was defeated and disappeared from mainstream history, there remain only a few brief records. Reminiscent poems on Baikje composed in Goyeo period were ‘Buyeo Reminiscent Poem’ by Min Sa‐pyeong and three others. As reminiscent poems on the history of Baikje written in early Chosun include ‘次夫餘東軒稼亭韻’ by Lee Seok‐hyung, 6 poems by Seo Geo‐jeong, 8 peoms by Lee Seung‐so, and 1 poem by Choi Suk‐jeong. There are 22 poems by Nam Hyo‐on, 2 poems by Cho Ui in addition to ‘Nakhwaam’ by Keum Heun. The characteristic of reminiscent poems composed in early Chosun is that Sinjinsaryu newly emerging in the reign of King Seongjong showed the emotion of ‘Gamgye’ in common through recalling history of Baikje not like Hungu literary people such as Seo Geo‐jeong. It showed their philosophy that history is not only to record the past events but also to make us contemplate present and realize what to do in the future. By expressing identification to loyalty of loyal subjects such as Seong Chong and disgust against treacherous subjects like Lee Ji at the same time, they visualized their fidelity and will to fight against the injustice. The reminiscent poems on Baikje composed in Early Chosun are diverse because of political and ideological characteristics at that time. Those characteristics are as follows. First, positive perspectives started to emerge in negative perspectives to see history of Baikje. Second, they extended history of Baikje to include Restoration Movements after the last king of Baikje (Euijawang). Third, the perspective to see the history was changed from simple recollection of the past to ‘Gamgye’. Fourth, the only loyal subject in reminiscent poems in early Chosun was Seong Chung. It is because they identified Seong Chung, who was literary subject, with themselves, because they were literary people as well. Those who wrote the reminiscent poems tried to tell that they were the ones who would not hesitate speak frankly to the King by mentioning Seong Chung in their poems.
