周王山 遊覽錄의 현황과 특징

국문 초록

주왕산에 대한 유람록은 張顯光이 「周王山錄」을 지은 이래 수많은 士林들이 남겼다. 필자가 수집한 주왕산 유람록은 44편이고 주왕산 한시는 약 600수이다. 본고에서는 주왕산 유람록에 대한 전반적인 현황을 파악하고 그 특징을 추출하였다. 주왕산 유람록은 1597년부터 1963년까지 약 360여 년 동안 고르게 창작되고 유람한 시기는 봄과 가을이 대부분이었다. 유람록의 작가는 영남 출신이 대부분이며 그 가운데 경상북도 북부지방 출신이 다수였다. 유람 형태는 다수가 함께 유람하는 경우가 많았으며, 유람록의 제목은 유록, 유기, 기행, 일록, 유산록 등 다양하게 구성되었다. 유람록을 기록한 형태는 일기와 기행문이 비슷하게 사용되었으며 한시를 창작할 경우에는 한시를 병기하는 경우가 많았다. 주왕산 유람록의 특징을 유람한 일정에 의거하여 ‘周王山遊錄’ 계열, ‘玉溪遊錄’ 계열, ‘東遊錄․南遊錄’ 계열 등으로 나누어 고찰하였다. ‘주왕산유록’ 계열은 張顯光의 「주왕산록」등 34편으로 전체 유람록의 약 80%를 차지하며 하루 일정의 유람이 대부분이고 길어도 3일을 넘지 않았으며 기행문 형식으로 창작되었다. ‘옥계유록’ 계열은 김종덕의 「옥계유산록」 등 6편이 있는데 1769년에 李象靖을 중심으로 10여 명이 옥계와 주왕산을 유람하고 3편의 유람록을 창작하였다. ‘동유록․남유록’ 계열은 柳道元의 東遊紀行 등 4편이 있다. 대부분 10여 일 전후의 일정으로 주왕산, 옥계, 내연산, 경주 등지를 유람하고 일기 형태로 작성한 유람록이다. 본고를 통해 주왕산 유람록의 전반적인 현황과 특징에 대해서는 어느 정도 파악을 한 셈이다. 앞으로는 주왕산 유람록의 문학적 형상화의 수준을 밝혀서 예술성을 탐구하고 아울러 감흥을 표출한 한시를 검토함으로써 문학 창작의 공간으로서의 주왕산을 조명하는 작업이 필요할 것이다.

영문 초록

The travel essays on Mt. Juwang was written by a large number of Confucian scholar since Jang Hyun-gwang(張顯光) wrote the ‘Juwangsanrok (周王山錄)’. About 50 pieces of travel essays of Mt. Juwang and about 600 chinese character poems of Mt. Juwang were collected. In this article, it identified the overall current status of the travel essays of Mt. Juwang and extracted its characteristics. The travel essays of Mt. Juwang was evenly created from 1597 to 1963 for about 360 years, and most of the excursion time were spring and autumn. Most of the writers were from Young-nam, and many of them came from the northern part of Gyeongsangbuk-do. There were many excursion forms to travel together with a lot of people. Titles of the travel essays were composed of various forms such as Yu-rok, Yu-gi, Gi-haeng, Il-rok, Yusan-rok etc. Diaries and travel documents were used in the same way as the form that recorded the excursion. In the case of creating a poem, there were many cases of writing poetry together. Based on the schedule of the excursion, the characteristics of travel essays of Mt. Juwang were examined by dividing into ‘Juwangsan-yurok(周王山遊錄)’ series, ‘Okgye-yurok(玉溪遊錄)’ series and ‘Dong-yurok(東遊錄)․Nam-yurok (南遊錄)’ series. The ‘Juwangsan-yurok(周王山遊錄)’ series were consisted of 34 pieces, including Jang Hyun-gwang’s ‘Juwangsanrok(周王山錄)’, which accounted for about 80% of the entire travel essays. Most of the excursions were day long and did not exceed three days long, and they were created in the form of travel documents. The ‘Okgye-yurok(玉溪遊錄)’ series were consisted of 6 pieces, including Kim Jong-deok’s ‘Okgye-yusanrok(玉溪遊山錄)’. In the year of 1769, about 10 people around Lee Sang-jeong traveled to Ok-gye and Mt. Juwang, and created 3 pieces of travel essays. The ‘Dong-yurok(東遊錄)․Nam-yurok(南遊錄)’ series were consisted of 4 pieces, including Ryu Do-won’s ‘DongyuGihaeng(東遊紀行)’. These were travel essays that were made in the form of a diary about 10 days excursion to Mt. Juwang, Ok-gye, Mt. Naeyeon and Gyeong-ju. Through this article, it grasped to some degree of the overall current status and characteristics of the travel essays of Mt. Juwang. In the future, it will be necessary to work on illuminating Mt. Juwang as a space for literary creation by examining the records of excursion to Mt. Juwang and poems which expressing inspiration.
