중국 동북(만주)·연해주 지역 독립운동 관련 주요 회고록 현황과 사료적 가치

국문 초록

본고는 국내에 입수되거나 출판되었지만, 아직 정리나 활용이 미흡한 중국동북·연해주 지역 주요 독립운동 주체의 회고록 현황을 검토하고 그 사료적 가치를 나름대로 평가하고자 했다. 검토 결과, 다른 공식 기록이나 당시 상황과 비교검토가 필요하고, 기술자 중심의 서술을 검증할 필요는 있지만, 대부분 매우 생생한 내용을 담고 있다는 점에서 사료적 가치가 매우 크다고 평가할 수 있었다. 추후 더욱 적극적으로 활용할 필요가 있다. 예를 들면, 만주·연해주 지역에서 활동한 홍범도의 『홍범도일지』, 1920년대 초 연해주에서 크게 활약한 김경천(본명 김광서)의 회고록 『경천아일록(擎天兒日錄)』, 역시 만주·연해주에서 활약한 이인섭의 여러 기록과 회고록 등이 주목되지만, 학계에서 널리 활용되지 않고 있는 실정이다. 향후 金學奎, 金承學, 金鼎奎, 元秉常, 金規勉, 朴勝吉, 계봉우, 최호림 등 독립운동 당사자들이 남긴 기록을 보다 주의 깊게 검토하고 활용할 필요가 있다. 또 만주와 연해주 독립운동, 민족해방운동 관련 사항과 자료들을 지역별로 구분하지 않고, 상호 연계하여 종합적으로 검토할 필요도 있다. 추후 중국 동북지역은 물론, 모스크바나 중앙아시아, 러시아 극동지역 문서관 소장 기록, 특히 주요 인물 유족이나 후손 소장 기록의 발굴 등 보다 적극적 자료 발굴과 활용도 시급하다.

영문 초록

Korean researchers who work on Korean independence activities, battles, and anti-Japanese struggles in Northeast China(Manchuria) and Primorsky Krai in the 1920s and early 1930s have failed to pay much attention to autobiographies, diaries(journals), and publications by Koreans, who were the main actors in the movement. This study was dedicated to reviewing several autobiographies of independence activists. The materials were obtained and brought to Korea but were yet to be either organized or utilized and evaluated in terms of historiographical value. The review process revealed that a comparative study with other official records or facts at the time was necessary while verifying the writer-centered descriptions but also confirmed that the vividness of the content was highly valuable in terms of historicity. Combined, they were valuable sources for further use. Some notable materials that remained unused by researchers were Hong Beom-do Ilji (Autobiography of Hong Beom-do, 洪範圖日誌) by Hong Beom-do, who led the campaign in Manchuria and Primorsky Krai; Gyeongcheon-ahilrok( Daily Record of Gyeongcheonah, 擎天兒日錄) by Kim Gyeong-cheon(autonym: Kim Kwang-seo), who was outstanding in Primorsky Krai in the early 1920s; as well as several records and memoirs of Lee In-seop, who was another leader in the two regions. Other records written by independence activists, such as Kim Hak-gyu, Kim Seung-hak, Kim Jeong-gyu, Won Byeong-sang, Kim Gyu-myeon, Park Seung-gil, Gye Bong-woo, and Choi Ho-rim, also deserve careful and thorough review and application. Going forward, issues and materials related to the independence and national liberation movements in Manchuria and Primorsky Krai should not be divided by region; they should be put in context and reviewed comprehensively. Another matter of urgency is the discovery and utilization of additional materials buried in archives or held by the bereaved families and descendants of key activists in Northeast China, Moscow, Central Asia, and the Russian Far East.
