『剪燈新話』를 통해 본 『李生窺墻傳』의 서사적 공간 구성

국문 초록

15세기 『전등신화』의 탄생과 동아시아적 호응이라는 문화사적 배경 속에서 김시습의 『금오신화』는 탄생하였다. 하지만 그 존재는 『전등신화』와는 달리 한동안 잊혔었고, 근대에 접어들어 崔南善에 의해 1927년 잡지 『啓明』19호에 그것도 일본의 간본을 통해 소개됨으로써 소설사의 귀중한 자산이 될 수 있었다. 본고에서는 『금오신화』에 대한 선행 연구들의 다양한 관점과 의견들을 기반으로 삼으면서, 특히 『李生窺墻傳』에 구현된 공간에 대한 측면을 통해 새로운 시야를 확보해 보고자 한다. 사실 『이생규장전』의 여주인공인 崔娘의 등장과 그가 차지한 공간은 매우 독특하다. 하지만 이에 대한 관심은 구현된 漢詩를 통한 작자의 심리 파악이나, 작품에 그려진 전통 공간으로서의 원림 의경을 비교하는 데 그치곤 하였다. 최랑이 거처하는 공간 자체는 물론 그 공간에 배치된 그림과 한시의 존재는 조선전기의 문화적 동향과 심미 지향을 반영하고 있다. 더구나 이와 같은 현상은 중국 詩畫史의 흐름과 함께 이해할 때 성리학적 유가지식인이자 방외인으로서의 삶을 지낸 김시습 소설의 구성과 주제 의식에 보다 심미적으로 접근할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구가 예상한 주제에 다가선다면 한국한문학의 다양한 양상들이 단순히 문학 자체에 그치지 않고 한중 문화교류의 측면에서 상호 영향을 통해 발전하고 있음을 확인할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. 이 점에서 향후 사회문화 방면 전공자들의 학제 간 연구가 활성화되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

In the 15th century, the birth of 『Jeondeungsinhwa(剪燈新話)』 and the birth of 『Geum-osinhwa(金鰲新話)』 in the cultural history background of East Asian response was born. However, the existence was forgotten for a while, unlike the 『Jeondeungsinhwa(剪燈新話)』, and in the 1927 magazine No. 19, a Japanese novel was introduced by Choi Nam-sun, which made it a valuable asset of novels. based on various perspectives and opinions of previous researches on 『Geum-osinhwa(金鰲新話)』, we try to secure a new view through the aspect of space embodied in 『Isaeng-gyujangjeon(李生墻墻傳)』. In fact, the appearance of Choi rang[崔娘], the mistress of the past, and the space he occupied is very unique. However, my interest in this was that I tried to compare the author s psychological understanding through the embodied Chinese poetry and to compare the scenery of the forest as a traditional space drawn on the works. The space itself, as well as the space in which it is located, reflects the specific trends and aesthetics of The first half of the Joseon Dynasty. Moreover, this phenomenon is expected to be more aesthetically attuned to the composition and theme consciousness of the Kim Siseub novel, which is a scholarly, intellectual, and out-sider living in understanding with the flow of Chinese poetry. It is expected that the various aspects of the Korean Chinese Literature will be developed not only from literature itself but also from mutual influences in terms of cultural exchanges between Korea and China, if this study reaches the expected topic. From this point of view, we hope that interdisciplinary research will be activated for those majoring in social and cultural studies in social and cultural studies in the future.
