邵南 尹東奎의 『시경』 이해의 양상

국문 초록

邵南 尹東奎는 17세의 어린 나이로 星湖 李瀷의 문하에 들어가 성호가 운명할 때까지 53년 간 성호의 문하에서 수학하였다. 성호의 문하에서 소남은 그가 성호와 함께 한 시간만큼이나 큰 위상을 지녔다. 성호의 문인들에게 尹丈으로 호칭될 만큼 어른으로 추대되었고, 經學을 중심으로 성호의 학문을 심화하여 성호 사후 성호의 문인들에게 師表로 인정받을 정도였다. 이 글은 소남의 문집 『邵南遺稿』를 대본으로 하여 그의 『詩經』 이해의 양상을 살펴보고자 한 것이다. 소남의 『詩經』 해석은 經文 이해의 논리성을 찾아가는 것이었다. 그는 經文의 本旨에 대한 先儒들의 다양한 논의들을 바탕으로 그 자신의 사색과 탐색을 통해 해석의 논리와 정합성을 추구하였다. 따라서 그의 『詩經』 해석은 도덕론과 의리론을 바탕으로 하면서도 해석의 논리성과 字義의 실증성을 보여준다. 소남의 『詩經』 해석은 성호의 『詩經』 이해와 같이 도덕과 의리를 바탕으로 해석의 논리성과 字義의 실증성을 찾고자 한 것이었다. 그러나 소남의 『詩經』 해석은 현실을 위한 실용적 가치의 구현이라는 점에서는 성호보다 先儒들에 가까운 모습을 보여준다. 그런 점에서 소남의 『詩經』 해석은 본질적으로 성호의 『詩經』 이해와 같은 축에 자리 잡은 것으로, 시의 해석에서 논리성과 실증성이 강화된 것이지만 시가 내포한 의미의 현실적․사회적 구현이라는 점에서는 성호와 다른 모습을 보인다.

영문 초록

Sonam Yun Dung-Gyu became a disciple of SeongHo Lee Ik at the age of 17 and studied 53 years as a student of SeongHo until SeongHo died. Among the disciples of Seongho, Sonam has a status as large as his time with SeongHo. He was named as Yunjung(尹丈) to his disciples at Seongho, and he was recognized as a teacher by his disciples after Seongho s death, deepening the study of Seongho s with the center of the study the Confucian classes. This article is a study of examine his interpretation of 『Sih Ching(詩經)』 in Sonam s book, 『Sonamyugo(邵南遺稿)』. Sonam’s interpretation of 『Sih Ching(詩經)』 is to find the logicality of understanding of the text. He was accept the various discussions of the seniors about the original meaning of the text, but to accept the logic and consistency of interpretation through his own thought and exploration. Thus, his understanding of 『Sih Ching(詩經)』 shows a more advanced aspect of the logic of interpretation and the demonstration of the meaning of the letter. Sonam s 『Sih Ching(詩經)』 interpretation is based on morality and righteousness, such as SeongHo s understanding of 『Sih Ching(詩經)』, to find the logic of interpretation and the empirical meaning of the letter meaning, but Sonam s interpretation of 『Sih Ching(詩經)』 is closer to the seniors than the SeongHo thought. In this respect, Sonam s 『Sih Ching(詩經)』 interpretation is essentially at the same axis as SeongHo s 『Sih Ching(詩經)』 understanding, and it shows the logic of interpretation and the empirical meaning of the letter meaning. However In terms of realistic and social expansion of the meaning implied by the poetry, it can be said that it is seen to be degenerate rather than SeongHo.
