국문 초록

김수영은 시작 초기부터 시작 말년에 이르기까지 죽음에 대한 사유를 거두지 않았다. 김수영 시에서 죽음은 시의 제재, 시의 주체, 언어의 문제에까지 관련되고 있는데, 대체로 다음 세 가지 모습을 지니고 있다. 첫째, 삶에 대한 각성의 계기이다. 이 점은 김수영의 초기시 <공자의 생활난>에서부터 잘 나타났다. 메멘토 모리, 즉 죽음을 기억하라는 명제를 거론하면서 김수영은 각성을 내세웠으며, <눈>에서도 시인이 가져야 할 자세로 죽음을 통한 각성을 들었다. 둘째, 새로운 생성의 계기이다. <구라중화(九羅重花)>에서 삶과 죽음은 연속적으로 이어지고 있다. 거듭된 죽음을 통한 생성은 시에도 적용되는데, 시의 내용과 형식 역시 죽음을 통해 새로워진다. 시의 모더니티도 이 과정을 거쳐 달성될 수 있다고 보았다. 셋째, 공동체를 향하고 있다. <말>에서 시의 주체는 죽음을 통해 ‘나’의 한계를 넘어서고 언어 역시 죽음을 통해 ‘나’의 언어를 넘어서며 타자로, 공동체로 나아간다. 김수영은 죽음에 대한 세 가지 관점에 기초함으로써, 현대시의 모더니티를 말할 수 있었고, 참여시를 내세울 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Kim Soo-young partially revised the perspective on death at the beginning, adding a new perspective to it, and completing the poetics of death by expanding it. First of all, Kim Soo-young used death as an opportunity for awakening to life. This point was evident in his early days of Life difficulties of Confucius . Looking for a tradition that meaned Memento Mori, or Don t forget death, what he wanted to see was also a life in the light of death. In Snow , we could hear the memory of death in the attitude of a poet. Kim Soo-young saw death as creating a new creation. In GuraJungHwa , life and death continued in succession. This also applied to poetry, and it was said that the content and form of poetry could be renewed through death, and the modernity of modern poetry could be achieved through this process. Another aspect of death in Kim Soo-young s poem was that death exceeded the limits of ego. In Mal , just as the subject of poetry exceeded the limits of ego through death, the language of poetry also surpassed the language of ego through death. Kim Soo-young thank that death was related to the material. subject, and language of the poetry. Based on this point of view, Kim Soo-young was able to speak of the modernity of modern poetry and put forward poetry of participation.
